Quiet location in a vacation home area with a marina. Very cozy nautical decor! Enjoy a direct view of the river from almost anywhere in the house! Beautiful, large, and fully enclosed terrace with sunshades and an unobstructed view of the river (Ems). Enjoy a large dining table with a view of the water. A cozy, nautical-themed living room awaits you, along with an open kitchen that overlooks the living area. You’ll also have a great view of the Ems from the spacious bedroom. Open-concept design extending up to the roof—see photos. The bathroom is wheelchair-accessible with a toilet and shower, so that even guests with limited mobility can feel very comfortable here. Next to the single-story vacation home is the harbor café. It’s a wonderful spot to sit on the terrace and look out over the harbor. A variety of dishes, as well as coffee and cake, are served here. An indoor terrace belonging to the harbor café is located right next to the vacation home, so you might occasionally hear guests. However, this terrace is used very rarely. There are quite a few vacation homes around the harbor. You can go for walks here and along the Ems River, and it’s a great place for biking. The Ems Bike Trail runs right past the house... The two nearest supermarkets are located about 2 and 3 km away, respectively, both with bakeries on site, in the town of Walchum. The nearest larger towns with big supermarkets, about 10 km away, are Dörpen, Haren, and Lathen. There are VERY many options for day trips in the area: Papenburg (the “Little Venice of the North”), the fashionable town of Leer, or a quick trip to the coast (only about 110 km away)—the Papenburg Mega Shipyard is also a great experience, as are various amusement parks and numerous swimming lakes. It’s less than 10 km to the Netherlands. And for cyclists, this place is a true paradise! Upon arrival, the beds will be made, and one large and one small towel will be provided for each booked guest. The linen package also includes 2 dish towels. A linen package is always required with every vacation booking. Group gatherings and parties are not permitted here! Up to 2 dogs may be accommodated at this vacation home. You can include them in your booking during the reservation process; otherwise, you’ll need to add them later or pay for them on-site, if applicable.
