Spacious 550 sq.ft. 2nd flr studio apartment above detached garage with qu. bed, qu.pull out sofa, mini kitchen, and private deck. Walk to village of Hancock, Norway Pond, Fiddleheads Cafe, and the Hancock Market. Between Keene and Concord, 10 min to Peterborough. Military discount available, please message us for details. This is a very large (550 sq. ft.) studio apartment above our detached 2 car garage. Full bath with tub/shower is all yours. Mini kitchen includes mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave and a few mugs, cups, dishes and flatware. There is no cooktop or oven. We don't store our vehicles in the garages, just lawn mowers, bikes, and other toys. It will be very quiet for you. There is a private deck off the back of the apartment, surrounded by a stone wall, small grassy area, and woods. This is a great place to enjoy your breakfast, afternoon snack, or evening cocktail. Although we have 2 dogs in our house, they are never allowed in the apartment. Rate is for 2 people. Additional guests $10 per person/night. You will have the whole apartment, which you will access from the door on the driveway level of the building. There is a large staircase to access the apartment. We are a busy family, but will be readily available should you need anything. We are happy to help with directions or ideas for great places to eat and fun things to do in the area. You can walk to the village (about a mile) for a delicious breakfast or lunch at Fiddleheads Cafe, or to pick up essentials at the Hancock Market, or for dinner at the Hancock Inn. Norway Pond is also in the center of the village for a quick dip or a canoe or kayak ride. Outdoor recreational opportunities abound, and we will be happy to recommend things according to your interests. A 15 minute drive will get you to the cultural hub of Peterborough for more great restaurants, quaint streets to explore, and unique shopping opportunities. A 30 minute drive takes you to Keene for larger grocery stores and retailers, as well as a unique Main Street with one of a kind shops. Public transit is not available in our neck of the woods. A car is essential. Hancock is the quintessential New England village, and the perfect home base for any New England adventure. Within 2 hours drive time to Boston, the White Mountains, or the Atlantic coast. You will enjoy our little town whether you come for our glorious summers and 4th of July celebration, spectacular autumn foliage, or to take advantage of our many opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, skating, and tubing in the winter (only 15 minutes to Crotched Mountain Ski & Ride!).
