The Waldhotel was known as the Waldsanatorium until 1957 and served as a template for the sanatorium in Thomas Mann's famous novel The Magic Mountain. Guests arriving by train can be picked up from the train station in Davos Dorf or Davos Platz on request with the Waldhotel's free shuttle bus. This bus also takes you to the nearby ski slopes.
