Ullswater, is the second largest lake at 7.5 miles long, the lake offers a variety of water-based activities from canoeing; sailing and windsurfing to a leisure cruise on one of the famous steamers. Many walks start in the Ullswater Valley from the trek up to Helvellyn to low level strolls along the shoreline. There are many places to visit nearby including Dalemain Historic house and gardens, Rheged, Aira Force and The Alpaca Centre to name just a few!
