The Garden of Camellias is set in a charming three-storey house with four bedrooms. It located in a small typical and picturesque walking street of cobblestone in the historical neighbourhood of Foz, just a few steps away from the beach, the river and the Passeio Alegre Park. It takes only around 15 minutes to get to the city centre by public transportation. This striking retreat was renovated in 2017 by the architect Pedro Jervell. The interior design is very fresh, clean and airy. There is a sense uniqueness and cosiness, a serene atmosphere that feels like home... The subtle lighting and the beautiful wood-paneled walls gently bring a feeling of warmth and comfort, while the fine steel craftsmanship adds a contrived patina with a cool vintage industrial vibe. The radiant living and dining area on the top floor is a blissful alchemy achieving a refined and timeless elegance. The eclectic décor in a space with white cement walls and floor and the steel-beamed attic ceiling punctuated by bg skylights creates an artful blending layers of styles and textures on a white palette with ocean blue accents. The bedrooms were individually decorated with well-appointed furnishings. Each one features an ensuite bathroom. The two bedrooms that are on the groundfloor overlooking the quiet charming street feature a rich leather armchairs paired with a mix of earth-toned and nature-inspired elements. The bigger and brighter bedrooms of the first floor incorporate some chic metal accents that fuse seamlessly with the materials' neutral palette and the contemporary furnishings. For a relaxed sense of breezy beach living, guests can also enjoy our charming and tranquil and graceful backyard with its camellias trees, cobblestoned pathway, old well and sundeck. Linen, towels, toiletries, and a weekly cleaning service are included in the standard rate. There is free high-speed wifi in all the property. The Garden of Camellias is just a few steps away from the Casa Bela apartments, which can be rented along with the house for larger groups (up to 20 people). Guest access Guests are free to choose between being greeted by the host in person - who will be handing in the keys herself - or making the self-check in. Other things to note Please note that the access gate to the courtyard is just next door. Each guest is provided with a set of two fresh towels: a bath towel and a hand towel.
