Relax with the whole family at Bank Garden Cottage. A 13 mile drive from Inverness and a 200m walk to the beach and harbour. Quietly tucked away behind the old bank with its own private garden area and parking, the quiet courtyard is just a few steps away from the centre of this picturesque seaside village of Fortrose, in the Black Isle. Whether travelling as a couple, with your children or with your dog, the house is well equipped to cater for all in a comfortable, safe and relaxing setting. The space The property is conveniently situated off the high street behind the old bank in a quiet residential courtyard. Private parking is in a well lit space directly outside the property on the right as you turn off the High Street. You will see the red lock block area. While we recommend having a car to visit the area, there is a public bus service that passes through the village and we can also provide the number of a trustworthy, family friend who has a taxi service. He would be happy to pick up and drop off at the airport or train station in Inverness. Please just ask for his number to check availability. After retrieving your key from the key safe on left of the main entrance you will enter into a hallway with shoe and coat storage. Smile at yourself in the full length mirror! Open the glass panelled door and step down into the welcoming lounge. This is the centre of the house which leads into the kitchen with access to back garden. The lounge is comfortable and cosy with an electric fire, area to study, relax, watch TV or play games. There is also access to the store cupboard. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create and cater for the whole family and outside the private garden is decked with areas for relaxing, dining/drinking or bbq'ing. From here move through to the bathroom, with plenty of mirrors to smile at on your way! Upstairs, you will find a spacious double room with a king size bed and another with bunkbeds, suitable for children or adults. Will you be fighting over the top bunk! You will find the water boiler in the cupboard between the bedrooms. We also have many things needed to cater for your four legged friend or toddlers/baby. Please get in touch with any specific requests. It really is a perfect location with everything on hand for a restful break in the Highlands. Guest access Guests have use of the entire property and spaces. Other things to note Guests are not allowed to smoke inside but can smoke in the private garden. Please dispose of cigarette ends responsibly. Please take care when entering the property as there is a step down into the lounge room from the entrance hall. Highland Council to not collect glass. Please dispose of all glass and jars at local supermarkets or car parks with designated bins. We also have a black bin at the back door of the house outside the kitchen which we will take to appropriate recycling bins.
