Welcome to the only Hostel type room in the Columbus/Phenix City/Fort Moore (Fort Benning) area! Perfect for the single traveler. This is a SHARED DORM STYLE room with 5 beds in this bedroom. Bed #4 is the bed in the right corner. From our 8 years of past experience we have found that our guests are usually fairly quiet, educated, well traveled, friendly, interesting to chat with, and in the habit of respecting each others' space. This spacious room is SHARED, welcoming other travellers from all over the world who will sleep in the same room. There is 1 bunk bed and 3 single beds. Bed #4 is the bed in the far right corner of the room. 4 lockers with locks are available for your use in this room also. This is a 4 bedroom older home in a quiet residential neighborhood. There are 3 private guest rooms besides this 5 bed Hostel Room in the home. Both bathrooms have a fresh coat of paint and the blue bathroom still has the original, vintage cast iron tub. Please contact us if you are interested in a private room. You will have access to the whole home except for the individual private bedrooms. You may label any personal items you put in the kitchen or bathroom that you don’t want anyone else using. There is a pen and tape in the kitchen on the small shelf across from the refrigerator. If you need anything during your stay we will be pleased to assist you — morning, noon or night! We are just a phone call or text away. We only live 2 blocks away. We look forward to meeting you. This home is in an older residential neighborhood on the outskirts of town. The back yard provides you with that country feel you'll love. Yet you'll only be 1 mile from downtown Phenix City and 4 miles to the Columbus, GA border. A new coffee shop just opened up 2 blocks away at 4307 Auburn Rd.! Enjoy 1 free item on us! There is no public transportation in Phenix City. There is Lyft and Uber in Phenix City, Columbus, and Fort Moore (Fort Benning). Groome Transportation can take you from the Atlanta Airport to Columbus, GA, and back. We are sometimes available to assist with your transportation needs. Please be aware of our location before booking. We are: 4 miles from the Phenix City Riverwalk, whitewater, zip line, kayaking,... 4 miles from the GA border and Uptown Columbus. 9 miles from I 185. 14 miles or so to the far side of Columbus (20-25 min.). 11 miles from the Fort Moore (Fort Benning) entrance. 30 miles to Opelika/Auburn area. Phenix City goes by Eastern time, the same as Columbus, GA, Fort Moore (Fort Benning), and Atlanta. We are not located in downtown but are minutes from downtown Phenix City. (This home has central heat and air even though the picture shows an old AC unit in the wall.) If you are coming here for work and you work a shift that you need to sleep during the day, this is not the best temporary housing situation for you because there may sometimes be other guests coming and going in this room throughout the day. There are 2 outdoor security cameras on this property, one on the front porch and one on the back porch, for the safety of our guests.
