This south facing room is in a sun splashed three bedroom apartment with a very comfy Full size bed. New mattress and linens. Very convenient U-District/Ravenna location. Minutes walk to University of Washington, University Village, Burke-Gilman Trail, Ravenna Park, UW & Children's Hospitals. Fantastic Seattle Restaurant scene- Frank's, Mio Posto, Pair, Mamma Melina, Din Tai Fung, Shake Shack. The space The Garden Room in the Old Orchard House is in a garden apartment of a duplex that is full of character. The entire house is also available for rent, or extra bedrooms downstairs may be rented separately. South facing with a large deck the apt/house sits in a large yard full of beautiful mature fruit trees with tables, hammock and seating. The Garden Room is complete with a new mattress, cotton linens and duvet. The common room and fully stocked kitchen are awash with daylight, with a fun electric fireplace to warm you in the evening. The bathroom has a deep clawfoot tub for soaking with a Speakman shower. Laundry with W/D add comfort to a cute airy apartment. Guest access Large yard situated in the middle of the original orchard that covered these hills down to Ravenna Creek and Lake Washington in the early 1900's. A massive old quince tree, apples and plums, with a hammock for lounging. BBQ and outdoor dining in the yard and on the deck. During your stay The owners live next door, and have been in the neighborhood for over 18 years. We know the U-District and Seattle! We love to share our city with out-of-town friends and guests. There is a notebook in the apartment that list our favorite restaurants and activities, complete with directions and reviews. We travel ourselves and always hope to tap into local knowledge. Let us help you discover our fabulous city. Other things to note The University of Washington is 10 blocks away, a simple 10 minute walk. University Village is also very close with many great shops and restaurants (Apple Store, JCrew, Restoration Hardware, Banana Republic, Crate & Barrel, Joey's, Shake Shack, Din Thai Fung, Starbucks).
