THINGS TO NOTE: During Summer - It is uncommon for mountain homes to have AC. The main home does not have AC but has various windows that can be opened, ceiling fans in upstairs bedrooms and some additional portable fans. The two second floor bedrooms do have window AC units during the summer months and early fall. The workshop room above the detached garage has window AC units during the summer months as well. During the Winter - Winter snowfall can vary during the winter months. For guests staying during late October through late April, we recommend driving an AWD or 4WD vehicle. Most winter storms will provide about 5" of snow at one time. Our driveway is steep and can be problematic for cars not properly equipped to handle snow. The neighborhood roads and driveway are regularly plowed as needed during the winter months. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home and 2.5 acre property. The multipurpose room and third restroom above the garage will be made fully accessible to groups that have added it to their rental (for an additional $75/night regardless of season or group size). Other things to note We have a STRICT POLICY regarding the following: - NO PETS OR OTHER PERSONAL ANIMALS - NO SMOKING (inside or out) - NO CHARCOAL GRILLING - We provide a propane grill for guest use. - NO WOOD BURNING OR GUEST PROVIDED FIRE PITS - Due to high fire danger almost all year, guests cannot bring fire pits or burn wood on the property. We provide a propane fire table and some cushioned seating on the side of the home overlooking the main part of the property that guests may use. Fines will be imposed for breaking these rules and guests may be asked to leave mid-stay. Fire danger is taken seriously in our mountain community especially during the dry summer months. Thank you for respecting these rules. OTHER RULES: - No trailers or RVs - No ATVs or Motorcycles
