Come enjoy the best of Malibu at our stunning beach house, through a secure gate leading into a spacious courtyard, 2 ocean-front decks, and private steps leading directly onto the sand + cedar hot tub. Don't be fooled by other "beach" houses that have no sand to enjoy. This house has some of the deepest dry sand right in front, on Malibu Rd: safe, quiet, and serene compared to busy & noisy PCH. Please contact us if you don't see your selected dates available and we can confirm availability! The space This private home is on a quiet and prestigious residential street, Malibu Road. It has been newly remodeled as of 2019 with all new appliances, bathrooms, kitchens, and furniture. Please note: our neighbor to one side is building a new home, which will commence foundation work in October 2022. While we do not have control over any part of the construction project, we can provide estimated timelines and schedules for work during your stay upon request. This includes all people on the property, no extra visitors for any period of time without prior approval. No filming, events, gatherings, or commercial activity of any kind. There are TVs in both the upper level and lower level living rooms, lower level bedroom, and upper level beach-view room. The entire property is equipped with strong wifi for any place inside or outside on the property. Exterior surveillance cameras are in use for your safety, though please note they are not monitored at all times. Upper level kitchen: quartz counters that extend into a bar with waterfall edge, dishwasher, French door refrigerator with freezer below, microwave, and cookware, utensils, and dinnerware for meals at home. Lower level kitchen: range with oven, full-size French door refrigerator with freezer below, dishwasher, and washer/dryer Please note that the amount of sand in front of the home will vary with the season and the tide. There are apps that will tell you which days have low and high tide and obviously we cannot guarantee the specific amount of sand in front of the house at any particular time. We don't recommend dogs at the house due to the real hardwood floors and light furnishings. If you are confident this won't be a problem for you, we will take well-behaved dogs under 30 lb for a $500 fee per dog per week, 2 dogs max. Please keep in mind no pets on the furniture, pets cannot be left alone in the house at any time, and you must pick up after them right away each time. Driving distances to popular locations: Malibu Pier: 5 minutes Nobu Malibu: 7 minutes Point Dume: 15 minutes Getty Villa: 20 minutes Santa Monica Pier: 25 minutes LAX: 35 minutes Guest access Guests have full and private use of the entire gated property and access to the beach from the steps attached to the lower deck. Other things to note Per government regulation, minimal stay for his location is 30 days. The lower level bedroom is rather small, and please note only one of the upper level bedrooms has a true ocean view. There is a layout in the pictures with approximate dimensions so you can determine if the size of the property works for your needs. Please note there is no luggage storage before check-in or after check-out. If you'd like early check-in, make sure to request it in advance. In most cases we cannot offer it, but we will be happy to let you know in case it is possible (though we may not be able to let you know either way until the morning of check-in in many cases). It is EXTREMELY rare that we can offer late checkout, but if you request it in advance as well we will let you know if it's possible. Requests the morning of for late checkout are not possible due to the need to schedule our cleaners in advance. Guests are solely responsible to check themselves for personal items and remove them before check-out. If any items left behind are found, we take NO responsibility for their safekeeping in any way. As a courtesy, found items may be arranged to be picked up in Santa Monica at a time that is possible based on our availability; we do not mail forgotten items nor take any responsibility for their storage, transport, nor condition at any time, even if we agree to arrange for pickup.
