Situated at the top of Rye’s High Street, The Lookout puts you steps away from local restaurants, shops, and landmarks, including the 12th-century St. Mary’s Church and the iconic Ypres Tower. The space The Lookout Rye provides you with the perfect home away from home, to suit every budget and every occasion. Each room at our historic hotel is a little bit different, but all are designed to give you the perfect night’s rest with the comfiest of mattresses and high thread count bed linen. From the moment you arrive at The Lookout Rye, you will enjoy the personal and friendly service that a small hotel such as ours can offer. Our reception team will be pleased to greet you and help you to settle in. They have a wealth of information to offer you about Rye and the surrounding area, and will be pleased to help you with any queries or special requirements you have during your stay. Continental or cooked breakfast is served in the hotel’s restaurant; this will include delicious, freshly baked pastries and breads from Judges Bakery, fresh seasonal fruit, a selection of savoury cheeses and cold cuts, or a choice of cooked breakfast, as well as bottomless teas and coffee. Guest access The breakfast restaurant and bar are shared with other guests. Other things to note The hotel has its own private car park at the rear of the hotel and is reserved for hotel residents on a first-come, first-served basis. This is accessible via Conduit Hill (the cobbled street off Cinque Ports Street) at the rear of the hotel. If you have a lot of luggage we recommend coming up into the High Street and pulling up on the cobbles at the front of the hotel (on the right just beyond the Landgate) where you can unload your luggage. Parking is charged at £10 for a period up to 1pm the following day. It is payable via the RingGo App on arrival (or by calling the RingGo number), the details of which are on signage within the car park area. It is possible to purchase 2 days of parking eg for a 2-night stay. If a car leaves the car park at any time before 1pm the following day, we cannot guarantee the space previously occupied by that car will still be available if it returns. Parking fines are issued directly by RingGo to cars which do not purchase parking, RingGo has the sole responsibility of managing the car park.
