This 1930s home is located directly on the sand and is unique from its vintage Spanish-style furnishings to its winding passageways. This rambling home sleeps up to fourteen people in its seven bedrooms. There s a 3-car garage and extra parking spaces for at least 5 additional cars behind the front gate, so this home is ideal for multiple families or surfers looking for a fun getaway. A lifeguard tower is just steps away from the home, which helps ensure a safer summertime beach experience. The beach is wide and the surfing is great (it s a beach break). This home is within walking distance to fine oceanfront dining and fun shopping in the village of Del Mar. Nearby Powerhouse Park provides a spot for a seaside picnic or free weekly concerts in the summer. You can also walk to the Del Mar Racetrack from this vintage home. The world-renowned championship Torrey Pines Golf Course is just a short drive away. If you re in the mood for communing with nature, you ll also be wowed by Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, where you ll find a choice of trails to explore, all overlooking the Pacific Ocean. HOUSE RULES -Max occupancy at all times: 14 -Quiet Hours: 9pm - 9am -NO PARTIES, GATHERINGS, EVENTS, NO EXTRA GUESTS THAT OVER OCCUPY THE HOME - Strictly enforced. -No pets allowed at any time, as the owner has allergies. -There shall be no video, still photography, or film production of any kind, without the express written consent of the owner. - SMOKING: This home and all Vacation Rentals by Kimberly properties are strictly non-smoking. Smoking of any kind is not permitted anywhere on the premises. A minimum $250 fee will be charged if evidence of smoking is found. PLEASE NOTE! -This home is NOT baby and/or child-proof. It is your responsibility to walk the home and/or property upon arrival, to make this space safe for your children. We assume no liability for harm/death to any baby or child staying or visiting this vacation rental. -Please be aware when booking this property that it s from the 1930s and has quirks. The house is not updated, this is part of its charm. The pictures are a true representation. -----This vintage home may smell older (this is normal). The furniture is older and the decor is reflective of a far-off era. -This home DOES NOT have AC, sorry. -This home has very wide railings on the upper floor. Therefore, this home is not suitable for small children, due to the risk of falling from the 2nd floor down to the 1st floor below. Injury and/or death could occur from a fall. - Please note that early check-ins and late check-outs are available at our discretion. There are extra fees for either of these add-ons when available. - The fireplace is to not be utilized. ​​​​​​​CANCELLATION POLICY A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty, aside from a $500 restocking fee. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 30 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment (not including deposit and cleaning fee). Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent.
