Designer's charming beach home on Balboa Island

Come enjoy our home by the sea! This darling historic beach house has been completely renovated back to its charming 1920's roots, but updated to include modern conveniences. From the hardwood floors, to the black and white checked tile baths, you will feel like you are stepping back in time while still enjoying a clean, newly furnished, charming Cape Cod/ Nantucket style retreat. The space This is a wonderful place to entertain family and friends, enjoy downtime with kids or grandkids, or to curl up with a book in one of the many nooks and take advantage of some private time. We have three bedrooms (one with a King bed and seating area, one with a queen bed, one room with both a full and a daybed twin), and three bathrooms. All of the bedrooms have a private shower (one with small bathtub). With plenty of places to spread out (3 bedrooms, living room, dining room, breakfast room, den with a television, patio), you can gather or relax as you wish. Our private, sunny, spacious patio has two lounge chairs, a table and six chairs under a fresh market umbrella and a propane grill. The private driveway provides up to three parking spots so you'll never have to worry about finding street parking. Guest access This is a rental for the entire home, sunny patio and two car driveway. Other things to note All of Balboa Island is charming and feels like you are transported back in time to a simpler life. But all of Balboa Island does get some airline noise and it is a very urban area in a suburban beachy feel. This is not just our home, but when visiting the area if you have not been before, realize that there are sights and sounds during the day. It is very quiet at night and most folks are home and tucked in by 9 or 10p. So this is also NOT a party home. We hope you come with friends and family and enjoy yourselves, but it is not an area where you can be outside and loud after 9p or so.
