An official "Dark Sky Network" designated area Telescopes included! 2 acres of land (many of the rentals only have a very small dirt lot. Gated community so it is very safe, private and quiet. We have central heat and air so you will be comfortable. High quality mattresses and linens on all the beds for a good nights sleep. A large bathtub for your soaking pleasure after a long hike! Trails nearby as well as amazing fishing at Lake Cuyamaca. Julian restaurants and shopping are 9 miles away Pet fee is $75 per pet per stay. The driveway is a little difficult to navigate. It is best to drive past and entrance and make a u turn at the next street and then go up the driveway. This makes it easy. We have a home theater system with Disney, Youtube TV, and Amazon Prime downstairs for your entertainment fun. The elevation is the highest in Julian! Close to 5000 feet so it can get snow when other area of Julian don’t. Sometimes only we get snow as a result. On very special days it seems that you can reach out and touch the clouds and hills. This is why we call it "A living canvas” If the number of guest is greater than the beds available there are 3 large couches and also a full size mattress in the closet. We also provide hot drinks like Cocoa, tea and coffee. In the living room chest there are many board games as well as downstairs. NOTE.... We only allow non smokers, my wife is allergic to cigarettes so if you smoke at all this is not the place for you. There will be a $150 additional cleaning fee if guests smoke anywhere on the property. This is a very high fire area and we take no chances. If you are in a wheelchair this house is NOT ADA compliant but it will work in some cases. My wife is in a wheelchair so we made it work for her. Ask before you book to see if it will work for your situation please. Central heat and A/C throughout. Both floors are well heated. There is also a Charcoal BBQ available for your use. Charcoal not included. No Bonfires allowed however there is a propane fire pit under the gazebo. We do not allow the house to be used for any parties or events unless specifically approved before you book. We use the Roomiantor to detect excessive noise from parties. If there is excessive noise you will be asked to leave immediately with no refund will be given. We work hard to keep good relations with our neighbors and guest expectations. We work very hard to make your stay the best stay possible. The house is professionally cleaned and maintained. The house is beautiful and the views are just stunning. We know you will agree! We will let you know about access 2 to 3 days before check in by email. If you are in a wheelchair it is NOT ada but will work. Just ask first. There is no access to the garage to park. Tell every guest that parking is tricky since you have to drive past the driveway to the first street and make a uturn to get into the driveway. The road getting to the cabin can be windy and steep with bad weather. Not advisable in the snow without a 4x4, chains or snow tires in winter. This stunning home is on a very quiet street with lots of trees and wildlife. Bring treats for the birds, deer and turkey if you like! Bike or walk to local trails. Drive into Julian (12 minutes) or to the Lake (2 minutes) for a peaceful walk. The town of Julian is an awesome place to eat and shop. You can even pan for gold there. This listing does not include the garage use. We are a Christian family so there are some things around the house that will reflect this. If you like to fish the Cuyamaca Lake is a great place to fish. Also the food at the lake restaurant is very good! Watch our DVD's or bring your own as well as music for the stereo if you want to watch movies or listen to music. During the winter the pipes can freeze. So you will need to turn the house water off before bed and on again in the morning. You will need to monitor the weather report for the days of freezing weather (below 32). We do have Tesla battery backup for any outages. If you have more than the amount of people that you reserved for you will be billed for the extra people at $30 per guest per night. Late check out fee without approval is $20 for every 10 minutes that you check out late. Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds (Bring covers for furniture if needed) or an additional $100 minimum cleaning fee will apply if we have to do additional cleaning.
