Adorable owner built cabin with custom open beam ceilings nestled in the forest adjacent to Jackson State Forest, providing endless trails for hiking and biking. Quiet forest setting, yet conveniently located between Mendocino and Fort Bragg and minutes from the beach and either town, making this a perfect location to enjoy all of the Mendocino coast. The space This 700 square foot cabin is located on 5 secluded acres and was designed and built entirely by the owners. The cabin includes many special touches such as open beamed ceilings milled with local redwood. The cabin has tons of natural light. A propane stove provides cozy heat and ambiance with the push of a button. There are also electric heaters in the bedroom and bathroom for additional warmth. Unwind on the redwood deck with a beverage or enjoy a hot outdoor shower for two in the private shower area outside or if you prefer, a bath in a large claw foot tub inside. Please note that the bedroom and bathroom are on different floors. We are kid friendly and able to allow additional children upon request. We love animals but have a no pet policy for the cabin to keep the cabin free of pet dander for our guests with allergies. We are also happy to provide recommendations for dining, beaches, trails or whatever else you are interested in seeing. Jackson State Forest is our next door neighbor and is a mountain biker’s dream. There is a trail that leads from the property into the forest and we will leave you a map. Located ten minutes north of Mendocino and ten minutes south of Fort Bragg and five minutes from what we think is the best beach in the area. Guest access Please feel free to use the entire yard.
