The spacious primary suite (located downstairs) includes a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, and fireplace that’s a treat on chilly evenings. Upstairs, Bedroom 2 has a queen-size bed and Bedroom 3 has two twin-size beds. There’s space for one or two people on an air mattress or the pull-out couch in the living room. The house also has three bathrooms, all with new fixtures, fluffy towels, and toiletries. The primary bathroom includes a jetted bathtub and a beautiful granite countertop with double sinks. The second bathroom is located upstairs (also with double sinks), and a third full bathroom is downstairs just off of the expansive living room. Need to do some laundry? There’s a washer and dryer available for your use. -KITCHEN & DINING- TRZ Residence’s modern kitchen has everything your inner chef desires, including elegant wooden cabinetry and plenty of counter space. Appliances include a gas stovetop, double ovens, fridge, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher, and you’ll find a toaster, blender, Nespresso machine (with cups), and a drip coffee maker on the counter. When it’s time to eat, pull up a stool at the high-top kitchen table or take a seat at the main dining table, which has chairs for eight. For dining with a view, step outside and enjoy the outdoor dining table. -LIVING SPACE- The large living room is the perfect place to relax after high-energy outdoor activities. You’ll find comfy couches, a rustic stone fireplace, and plenty of books to read. It’s also the perfect spot to cozy up under a blanket and daydream about your upcoming desert adventures. But one of the very best features of TRZ Residence is the giant game room. It offers a pool table and a ping-pong table – in addition to other diversions like board games, darts, and a Playstation 4. Immediately outside the game room is a half-court basketball set up. Who’s ready for a little friendly competition? -OUTDOOR SPACE- Outside the home are spectacular desert views in all directions – including of nearby Black Lava Butte. A favorite spot to take in the views is the front porch, which is furnished with a variety of seating options. Out back, there is a large propane barbecue, as well as a propane fire feature well suited to gathering around on a cool evening for stargazing. A Jacuzzi-brand hot tub beckons nearby. After an invigorating hike, nothing feels better than cooling off under the outdoor shower on the patio just off the master suite. -ESSENTIALS- On-site outdoor parking is available for four vehicles. Please note there is an outdoor security camera facing the driveway to monitor traffic. The camera does not cover any of the outdoor living areas. TRZ Residence is equipped with WiFi, and the house is fully air conditioned and heated and controlled by user-friendly Nest thermostats. This home has a security camera mounted on, and directed at the exterior of the home in order to monitor the quantity of cars on property so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances. -ACTIVITIES/ATTRACTIONS- Visitors come to the High Desert for its unique landscape, culture, and recreational opportunities, as well as for the weather - hot and dry summers and mild winters at our high altitude. Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. You’ll be close to all the action at TRZ. Some of our favorite options available to you: –Joshua Tree National Park: 800,000 acres of mystical beauty - Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. This quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography. –Pioneertown: Step back in time to thus rustic Old West-style village. Wander through the historic buildings, visit unique shops, catch a live music performance at Pappy & Harriets, and experience the Wild West charm. • The Integratron: New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process. Everything at your fingertips and more, when you book with us today! ** Cleaning Protocols *** As the only professional management company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards. We pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to visit. You will have the entire house and property to yourself. Our property manager, Homestead Modern, is local and has staff available at all times. Pipes Canyon is one of the most sought-after locations in the High Desert. It’s close to everything – and yet very much set apart with next to no light or noise pollution. The area is surrounded by dramatic flat-top lava buttes, towering and weathered boulders, and an abundance of Joshua trees. Pipes Canyon is immediately adjacent to the Sand to Snow National Monument as well as the Pioneertown Mountains Preserve, both offering endless hiking and exploring opportunities, and the West Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park is about 30 minutes away by car. Although you may be tempted to spend your whole trip exploring Pipes Canyon, many more area highlights are accessible within a short drive: • Pioneertown (10-minute drive) - Put on your ten-gallon hat and stroll down Mane Street of this Wild West-inspired town, also known for Pappy & Harriet’s, a notable restaurant and venue. • Yucca Valley (20-minute drive) - Convenient stop for chain stores and local eateries, like Carla's Route 62 Diner and C & S Coffee Shop • Joshua Tree Village (20-minute drive) - Quirky strip of boutiques and restaurants, including Coyote Corner, Space Cowboy Books, and the rustic Joshua Tree Saloon • Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum (20-minute drive) - As far from a stuffy gallery as you can imagine, this outdoor sculpture garden contains a unique collection of folk-art. • The Integratron (20-minute drive) - New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process. • Palm Springs (45-minute drive) - Artsy town known for vintage shopping, art galleries, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. • Mt. San Jacinto State Park (90-minute drive) - Expansive, hilly landscape with foot and horseback trails surrounding 10,834-foot Mount San Jacinto. Of course, let’s not forget about the essentials. Everything you need is within about 15 minutes by car: • Closest supermarket: Vons • Closest liquor store: Yucca Valley Liquor • Closest pharmacy: Rite Aid Pharmacy • Closest bank: Wells Fargo Bank • Closest gas station: Sinclair Many roads in the high desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain. • EVENTS & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees. • DOGS: Your dog is welcome and there is a one time fee of $100. Please alert us in advance. Max of 2 dogs. No other types of animals are authorized. • SOCIAL MEDIA: If you plan on sharing your experience on social media, please mention us! • CELL SERVICE: Cell phone service availability and quality in the high desert varies by service provider. This is particularly true in the more remote areas of Joshua Tree, Pipes Canyon, and Pioneertown. Please be prepared by enabling wifi calling or downloading a VOIP program. • ROAD CONDITIONS: Many roads are dirt, so please take it slow. A four wheel drive car is not required, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain • CO-HOSTED BY HOMESTEAD MODERN
