Comfort: the common area in which the apartment is located will make you feel completely at ease whatever the purpose of your holiday: relaxing, having fun, socializing , sharing a romantic moment with your partner, enjoy time with your family; reading a magazine comfortably lying on a deck chair and time to time cooling off in the pool, challenging your friends on endless table tennis matches, feasting in company in the terrace area, are only some of the opportunities we are able to offer you. 2. Opportunities: thanks to the networks we have developed you will have the opportunity to enjoy the charm and the magic that surrounds this land from a privileged angle; can you really say to have experienced the most famous Lake region of the world without trying to fly a seaplane, surfing pulled by a kite, paragliding over 3 lakes at the same time? Other things to note Getting around The best way to move around is by car, but it is possible to use public transport as well. Highlights: Valsolda Valley: An intact and wild nature in an unspoiled mountain landscape and picturesque places close to the lake invite to long walks to discover hidden villages, charming waterfalls and an incomparable view of Lake Lugano and, further up, towards Lake Como. Valsolda Nature Reserve: Since 2006 the Valsolda Regional Forest has become a protected area of the Lombardy Region and more precisely a Nature Reserve. It constitutes a "priority habitat" for endemic and rare species of plants. The difficulties of access to the area have also kept away mass tourism, ensuring a target of environmentally friendly hikers. In addition to the considerable environmental attractions, the Forest presents elements of faunal value: chamois, deer, roe deer, but above all the golden eagle that nests on the rocky walls. Como lake: maybe the most famous lake worldwide, with its´ breathtaking scenery and exquisite villas. Top Lake Como sights: Villa Balbianellon (Lenno), Villa Carlotta (Tremezzo), Basilica di San Fedele (Como), Cathedral (Como), Brunate (Como), Villa Olmo (Como), Villa Melzi d'Eril (Bellagio), Santuario della Madonna del Soccorso (Ossuccio & Isola Comacina) Lugano Lake: spilling over into northern Italy, Lugano Lake is a sparkling blue expanse at Ticino's southernmost tip, with a real holiday flavor as soon as the weather warms. Swiss side of Lugano lake with Gandria, Meride and Morcote, are among Switzerland’s most beguiling, with hidden back alleys, pastel-painted houses and botanical gardens to explore. Lugano City: a vivacious city, the Swiss´ third-most-important banking center, with posh designer boutiques, bars and pavement cafes huddling and cultural vibrancy. Top sights in Lugano: MASI – Italian Switzerland Museum of Art, Monte Brè, Parco Ciani, Santa Maria degli Angeli Church, Monte San Salvatore, Museo Hermann Hesse, Schokoland, San Grato Botanic Park Sport activities Boating, trekking, horse riding, biking, kitesurfing, paragliding are only some of the opportunities to discover this precious treasure trove of art, nature and history. Hiking Worthy of mention are Cima Fiorina Peak (Valsolda) and the Path of the 4 Valleys, from Valsolda to Menaggio, which crosses the heart of the Lepontine Alps among woods, pastures and charming rural villages. For those who love culture and prefer less demanding hiking it is instead necessary to retrace the Fogazzaro itineraries from S. Mamete to Castello, from Puria to Loggio, breathing the atmosphere of the Piccolo Mondo Antico. Mountain Bike All the mule tracks and mountain roads in the area are suitable for interesting MTB itineraries, in particular the ascent from Drano (450 m) to the Alpe Serte (900 m) along a historic mule track and the demanding ascent on the forest trail from Dasio (580 m) to the Alpe Bolgia (1120m). For those who do not like fatigue, we recommend the cycle path (under construction) that connects Porlezza to Menaggio, passing along the shores of Lago di Piano. Climbing Climbing in Valsolda allows you to know a wild angle of the Larian mountains. Through beautiful beech woods, you reach the Torrione di Val Fiorina (1,384 m.), Located on the border of the new Valsolda Integral Reserve. The place is particularly beautiful and fresh, perfect for summer, while climbing takes place on a perfect limestone. Currently there are 5 modern sports routes. A little above the village of Porlezza is the Diamante cliff, renowned among sport climbers for its beauty and the difficulty of the streets. Lake sports Unlike Lake Como, characterized by the presence of strong and constant winds, Lake Lugano is perfect for canoe and kayak excursions. The Lago di Piano offers the possibility to rent rowing boats for short excursions. It is also possible to practice sport fishing in the rich waters of the Reserve.
