The space My space affords the luxury of a quiet setting amid the rural wooded area of suburban Gurnee known for Six Flags Great America and Gurnee Mills outlet mall. Major roadways connect to downtown Chicago to the south or Milwaukee north-bound. Lake Michigan is five miles east and an iconic scenic drive I recommend taking is one that starts on Sheridan Road and connects to Lake Shore Drive. Guest access Guests—excluding unsupervised minors—are permitted use of stove or ovens. Long-term guests will be given space in the fridge, freezer and pantry and will be expected to buy their own food, spices, etc. Cutting board is a MUST for any cutting or slicing, and counter is expressly prohibited as a cutting surface. Guests are expected to remain in kitchen during all cooking activities—stovetop, oven or microwave, and clean up and put away items used. One load of laundry is permitted at no charge per reservation of six (6) days. Supplies are provided. Guests staying longer than one (1) week will need to buy their own laundry supplies. More than one load per week can be discussed for additional cost. During your stay I will be available by text or phone calls throughout the day, though I do work outside my home so if a message is not returned immediately it may be due to a meeting at my job, or driving home. I will reply as soon as possible and please do call directly as that may be easier to communicate if a text message is not replied to quickly. Other things to note My dog is affectionate and eager to welcome you but I do ask you do not pick him up, feed him, let him outside or take him outside without my express permission. Certainly you are free to pet the pooch, extend a hand in lickable camaraderie, and praise him for being the perennial "good boy, Koko!"
