Higurashi-sou is a small guesthouse with 5 rooms only. This room is called 'Suisen' with unique Karakami paper doors with hand-drawn swirls and swimming frogs. (There are no bathrooms on the same floor. ) We can offer 'free bathhouse ticket', Enjoy our bathhouse culture with the locals! 10 minutes walk to Nijo castle. We love this neighborhood which shows fascinating local side. This is only for one person stay but we also have other rooms, please check our profile for more information. The space Check in 16:00~21:00 Check-out 11:00 【This Suisen room is only for one person stay. 】 【Facilities and Amenities】 〇Shower and rest rooms are all shared only and (Not in the room/ No private one) not on the same floor. It's not convenient for the elders since the floors are very steep. 〇Free WIFI available 〇2 public living and a garden 〇free dripped coffee and Japanese tea 〇As we would like to be as environmentally friendly as possible, we only offer reusable amenities. Please bring your own if need it. And we change your bed sheets and bath towels every two days for saving water. 〇Tooth brush is 500yen 〇Free bike rental (Limited number provided) Guest access The bed room you booked is private. Other facilities such as showers, toilets and living areas are shared only. We have a little yard but since it's faced to other guest room's window and there are mosquitos from spring to autumn, we recommend you to view it from our shared living room. During your stay We are here at 8:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 21:00 basically. Please ask us if you have any questions in person during this time. Other things to note Higurashi-Sou is constructed with traditional details and building materials to provide our guests with the experience of a genuine Kyoto machiya house. As many of these materials are not completely sound-proof, we appreciate your kind understanding and attention to the comfort of all our guests. We don't locate in the central touristic and shopping area. Therefore we are suitable for those who have a 'slow & local ' plan but not for 'busy & touristic' one.
