Villa Kristina, private pool, sea & mountain view

The villa, located in Kefalas (Chania), in the area where in 1964 the famous Greek Zorba film, directed by Michael Cacoyannis and played by Antony Quinn, was filmed, has a private swimming pool and a splendid sea and mountain view (Almyros Bay and Lefka Ori). There is a lounge, a fully equipped kichen, 3 double bedrooms (for 6 guests), 2 bathrooms and is fully furnished and complete with everythng. The Villa is rented both for weekly periods and for shorter periods (min. 4 nights). The space The villa has been thoughtfully designed and planned. All principal rooms both on the ground floor and first floor bedrooms have double doors opening Into balconies/terraces, all with sea views. The master bedroom on ground floor with toilet and shower adjacent. Bedrooms 2 and 3 on the first floor and all have their own balconies again with panoramic sea and mountain views. All bedrooms have large modern built-in wardrobes with drawers and hangers. The bedrooms are modern and all have remote controlled air conditioning. The ground floor master bedroom has its own sea views and its own terrace doors that open onto the garden and the pool nearby. There is a shower room and toilet on the ground floor adjacent to the master bedroom and there is a further bathroom upstairs with bath (3/4) and shower and WC which is shared with bedrooms 2 & 3. A cot and high chair is available. The 1st floor has a middle balcony with table, chairs, and lights which is accessed from the bedroom corridor without the need to access the bedrooms. 2 Bathrooms: -Bathroom 1 - Toilet , Bath with Shower , bath 3/4 size -Bathroom 2 - Toilet , Shower Enclosure There is a bathroom (shower, WC and washbasin) on the ground floor adjacent the master bedroom and handy for the pool, kitchen and lounge and can be used without the need to go up the stairs or disturb the upstairs guests. Bathroom 1 on 1st floor (bedrooms 2 and 3) which has a 3/4 bath and shower all with modern tiles and colours. There are plenty of electrical sockets including the bathrooms, mirrors and art deco cabinets. There is a toilet in each of the bathrooms and an outdoor shower and taps for swimming use. Both bathrooms are colour coordinated with the overall house theme. Hot water is provided by solar panel or by immersion. An external shower is provided adjacent to the pool for use while swimming. Linen and bathroom towels (white) provided. Outside are 3 pergolas areas (all with lights and electric sockets) with numerous seating options for those relaxing al fresco meals, all overlooking the pool, and with panoramic sea views. Outdoor kitchen and living area (couch, table, chairs, dining table), wood oven and large stone built BBQ and most of these areas receive the villa wi fi signal. The tiled pool is an integral part of the villa, and is on the same level as the villa. The pool has tiled steps leading into the pool. The pool is the same level throughout of 1.5m. An external shower in provided adjacent to the pool for use while swimming. Pool and beach towels (coloured) and deck chairs provided. All is very easy for all members of the family. What makes this Villa unique: When the house was being built we it was an important requirement for us to have a tiled concrete pool with easy access from the villa and for it be built at the same level of the house. We have recently had work done installing an outdoor kitchen and dining/lounge area which comprises a wood fired oven and a large stone BBQ. This area is attached to the house and close to the kitchen so it makes cooking and living outside very convenient. The wi fi can pick up the internet outside living area so that you can to listen to your favourite radio station. We also extended the upstairs balcony and now it can seat 6+ people around the table and has fantastic views and is shaded in the afternoon when the sun is it its hottest. The oven is suitable for pizzas (as well Greek style Sunday roast dinners) and we make them as a family and all join in adding our favourite topppings to them. The children love getting involved with the cooking and we as parents have the time to devote to them during this relaxing holiday time which makes for a very enjoyable and unique experience for us and our children. We can leave instructions on how to fire up the oven and BBQ as well some of our favourite recipes. Children can easily make the pizza dough and they can add their own favourite toppings and share their pizzas they have made with the rest of their family (please request the information pack so we can make sure you understand how it all works. The gardens are now mature with pomegranate, orange, and lemon trees so these can be picked and eaten or used in your drinks! Guest access The pool and house are accessible for wheel chairs the only area of concern is the step at the front gate but once past this then the villa is on the same level. All the pergolas and outside hard standing areas are wheelchair accessible as they are on the same level (please discuss in detail if this is a requirement). The kitchen, lounge, main bedroom and bathroom are on the same The pool is on the same level as the house and has easy access both from the sides as the water is at the same level or from the tiled steps. The owners love sitting outside having al fresco meals and so have provided plenty of shaded areas with tables and chairs. You can choose areas in the sun or shade dependent upon the time of day. The pool is well lit at night for drinks those evening swims. The owner has gone to considerable expense to have internet (WiFi) installed which not many villas have in the area. The owner also provided is a DVD , DVD library, satellite TV (not Sky) with numerous channels. Other things to note The owners provide a WiFi Internet connection (provided free of charge). tv satellite (English movies, football (UK& European), Discovery, Nat Geo etc).
