Tower Room in Bedford with Breakfast

Our "castle" is the former Lawrence County Jail and Sheriff's Residence in Bedford, about 40 miles south of Bloomington and an hour from French Lick. The Tower Room has a comfortable queen-sized bed, private bath, and interesting original art. In the morning we will treat you to a big breakfast tailored to your individual tastes. Vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, no problem for us--we love our guests and we love to cook! The space Please note that we are located in Bedford, about forty minutes south of Bloomington and an hour northeast of French Lick. The former Lawrence County Jail and Sheriff's Residence is a very unusual historic landmark--in addition to the Victorian residence you see from the front, in back is a big old jail. The place oozes with local history and a somewhat spooky presence after dark. Guest access Your second floor room, the first floor common areas (living and dining rooms and the porch), and the yard and rear parking lot will all be accessible. Please ask if you would like to use the kitchen. The top floor of the house is our private family space, but we will show you the view from the tower if you would like to see it. During your stay I am always interested in talking to visitors, so I will interact as much or as little as you want, and time permits.
