Other things to note Please note that Sandy Heaven Maldives is situated in the stunning Island of Gulhi, South Male’ Atoll. There are two dedicated bikini beaches in Gulhi where visitors can wear bikini or similar swimwear. In local inhabited islands the government regulations require that visitors or locals do not wear bikini or similar swimwear while in the public areas. Transfer to Hotel Please note the following information regarding transfer/journey from Male’ International Airport to Sandy Heaven Maldives at Gulhi Island. Please contact the hotel directly to arrange your transfer at least 72 hours prior to your arrival or indicate this under Special Requests when booking. Your arrival and departure flight details and full names of travelling party will be required. Public Ferryboat (Customer arranges) - Ferryboat takes around 80 minutes to reach Gulhi Island. - Ferryboat departs from Villingili Ferry Terminal (MTCC terminal) in Malé at 15:00hrs. - Return ferry departs from Gulhi Island at 08:00hrs. - If your flight lands after 13:00, or you misses the ferryboat/arrive on Fridays, you may wish to take the chartered speedboat transfer or make arrangements to spend the night in Malé. - Please note that there are no ferry services on Fridays. Speedboat (Hotel arranges) There are two options of speedboat transfers as mentioned below: - Scheduled Shared Speedboat Transfer (Price Charged Per head) Shared speedboat transfer for a surcharge of approximately USD25 per person. - Private Speedboat Hire (Price Charged for the whole speedboat) Chartered speedboat takes 30 minutes to reach Gulhi Island and approximately costs from USD195 per trip (one way) tax inclusive (maximum 12 people). Advance booking is required for chartered speedboat transfers. Please inform Sandy Heaven Maldives in advance of your expected arrival time. Additional Children & Extra Beds - Children under 2 years (infants) can stay free of charge. COTS are provided free of charge (subject to availability & room type). - Additional children 2 years and over and 12 years & under, are charged USD20 per night. - Children 12 years & over are charged USD30 per night. - Only one infant is allowed free of charge per room.
