Stay in a historic rorbu by the sea in Kabelvåg, part of Astra Village – the place where Lofoten's history began. With the sea just outside your door and views of Lofoten's mountains, it is the perfect base for six guests seeking space, privacy and a relaxing stay. In winter, the Northern Lights are often visible right outside your door. Between late May and mid-July, the midnight sun keeps the fjord lit long into the night. The space This authentic rorbu combines genuine coastal heritage with modern comfort. It features three separate bedrooms, a private bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living area. Freshly made beds, towels, Wi-Fi and parking are included. The rorbu has its own entrance. Reception is located at Astra Whale, Steinveien 11, 8310 Kabelvåg. Check-in from 3:00 PM, check-out by 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out can be arranged with reception. Luggage storage is available free of charge. Guest access Free parking is included – we'll show you the spot at check-in. Outdoor areas by the sea are available to all guests. Other things to note Astra is smoke-free indoors and in common areas. End-of-stay cleaning is included – we don't offer daily housekeeping, but fresh towels can be requested through reception. A crib and high chair are available free of charge on request. The nearest EV fast charger is approximately 7 km away in Svolvær. The buildings are historic and may present challenges for guests with reduced mobility – please contact us before booking.
