Silverstream alpaca farmstay is just 20 kilometres or 20 minutes drive north of Christchurch in the beautiful South Island of New Zealand. We are only 10 minutes from Christchurch International Airport. Location close to Kaiapoi. Enjoy a peaceful stay at one of New Zealand's largest alpaca farms. There are beautiful gardens and lawns not to mention over 200 alpacas urgently needing your attention. Accommodation is available in two luxurious self contained cottages with full kitchen facilities. The space Each cottages has one bedroom with a Queen bed and the second bedroom with two single beds. Each bed has electric blanket for the cooler months and there is a heatpump for heating and cooling. There is kitchen with hobs, microwave, fridge, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans, cooking utensils, toaster, electric jug and rice cooker. The lounge includes new smart TV's with access to unlimited Netflix or Lightbox. The bathroom has a shower, handbasin, toilet, toiletries, hairdryer and all bathtowels. There is also a safe, alarm clock, extra linen and ironing board. The highlight for all our guests is the 30 minute exclusive farm tour that is included in the tariff. Great opportunity for photographs right up close with the alpacas. We also have an alpaca shop with product produced from our own alpacas. Guest access Guests are able to explore the entire property - there are no closed off areas. Walk along the beautiful lawns and gardens and enjoy the birdsong. There is a trampoline for the kids and various nearby walks. Other things to note Alpacas are shorn in October and birthing is from January to March. Spring time is the best time for the garden and all the cherry blossom. Kaiapoi village is just 4 kms away. There are many restaurants and two large supermarkets open to 10.00pm each day.
