Guest suite in Prescott

This spacious, livable guest suite includes a separate bedroom, full bathroom (bathtub shower), a comfortable living room area with a comfy couch and a large Roku TV, a stocked kitchenette and bar seating, and best of all: a fantastically flowered patio on which you can enjoy your coffee or glass of wine, breathing in pine and juniper mountain air. Single travelers or couples will enjoy this cozy suite for the space to spread out in and its proximity to both amazing hiking areas and downtown. The space The guest suite is on the lower level of our home with a private self-entrance, a furnished private patio, and a covered parking area with room for one car. The suite stays cool all summer and has a gas fireplace to use during chilly weather. The smart TV has Netflix/ Hulu access and you will find books, games, DVDs and cards to entertain yourself with. Please note that the kitchenette includes a toaster oven, microwave, fridge and freezer, coffee making supplies including a french press and drip coffeemaker, as well as tea and coffee choices. There is no oven, stove, or hotplate. There is a charcoal grill, charcoal & grilling tools on the patio which we invite you to use. We appreciate comfortable, clean spaces and wish to offer that to our guests. We use a couch cover for those that are traveling with dogs; this will be cleaned between uses. A down/wool blend comforter on the queen bed is protected with a duvet cover, washed between guests. All linens will be laundered between guests with dye- & scent-free detergent. Though the fowl do keep insect populations checked, you may occasionally find insects that have wandered indoors. For those traveling with dogs, we welcome you and your pups! Let us know at the time of booking if they will be staying with you and tell us a bit about canine companion(s). We don’t have restrictions on breed or size, but we do expect your dog to be house-trained and well-behaved animals. Please be aware that our property is the home of chickens in a fenced-off portion of the backyard— if you know your dog has a high prey drive we ask that you are extremely diligent with their actions while they are outdoors. Outside, we ask that you keep your dog on a leash (our yard is fenced but can be escaped by Houdinis). We ask that you clean up after your canine companion. Inside, we ask that your canine companions stay off of the bed. We will provide a couch cover so they have other comfortable places to lay. Your dog needs to be crated if left alone. Beware: coyotes live in Prescott! Respect the wildness of wildlife by keeping your animals contained. Guest access You will have full access to the downstairs guest suite, to the backyard and its private patio, and to the driveway. Other things to note Dogs live on this property! Jax and Doja may sometimes find their way down to your private area to say hello. You may hear their voices when they play together or as they greet us when their humans arrive home from work. Chickens live on this property! Chickens are super fun, talkative creatures. We have two roosters who both wear No Crow Collars, which diminish their crows to a mere fraction. If you have the doors and windows open in the Suite, you may hear the chickens talking to each other. We have a few wily chickens that occasionally manage to escape the confines of their fenced area to scratch around in the flowerbeds. If you find them in your space and wish for them to leave, please usher them away gently. We are on a septic system: please note that no products can be flushed and no food can go down the drain. You may occasionally see or hear signs of us living on the property. You may occasionally hear human voices inside, or see or hear us outside when we are taking care of our gardens and chickens.
