The building, at the base of Slieve Donard mountain, offers a panoramic view of Newcastle town and Dundrum bay right to St John's lighthouse. On the ground floor the living room/kitchen/dining area has a solid fuel stove. The shower room/toilet is also on the ground floor. First floor has 2 bedrooms. Front bedroom has a king bed and sea views. The back bedroom has twin beds and overlooks the small garden. Stairs lead from the back bedroom to the attic bedroom with a single bed. There are 2 Velux windows, one with panoramic views. The washing machine is in the boiler house at the back of the buliding. Guest access Access via a keybox opens the blue door at the back of the building. Park in front of the blue window, keeping to the outside of the carpark. Best to approach via KING STREET, down past WIDOWS ROW COTTAGES, then left into the carpark. Other things to note This Victorian cottage is well placed for serious walkers and mountaineers, and for those who enjoy leisurely walks into town. Hardy souls can sea swim at the nearby harbour when the tide comes in. Cafes and pubs are within easy walking distance.
