Award winning Algonquin Eco-Lodge

A unique wilderness lodge on the southern tip of Algonquin Park. Deep in the forest on the shore of a private lake & a cascading waterfall. You get a private room in a small lodge, with a common dining area and shared bathrooms. Meals included. The space The Eco-Lodge is situated so deep in the forests there is no car access, no telephone or electricity poles, and the only people you will see are other Lodge guests. The parking lot is 2.5 km away, so guests hike (about 25 minutes) through Algonquin Park to get to our building. The Eco-Lodge is completely off-grid, but we create all of our own power from a micro-hydro generator we installed n our waterfall. Since the Lodge is so remote there is a good chance to see animals like moose, beavers, and deer. Sometimes we get lucky with wolves howling at night while we sit around the bonfire. Guest access Guests have access to free canoes and a paddle boat on our private lake. They can also use the outdoor hot tub or wood fired sauna. We have 40 km of hiking/ski trails that start right at our front door. And there is horseback riding available nearby. During your stay The Lodge staff are there to answer any questions, help with starting the bonfire and giving a wolf howl demonstration. They also prepare all the meals. Other things to note The Algonquin Eco-Lodge won the 2012 Ontario Tourism Award for Sustainable Tourism. All guests must be vaccinated against Covid-19, and have a Vaccine Passport, as mandated by the Provincial Government.
