This cabin is located on two lake lots with your own dock on a small neighborhood lake. Come fish and stay at our comfortable cabin for up to four people. Walmart is an easy 7 miles from the cabin. Enjoy this roomy 2-bedroom cabin for up to four people. Park under the carport where you will also find the charcoal grill. As you enter, you will find a fully stocked kitchen that opens to the dining/living room area with vaulted ceilings. The open concept and high ceilings give a spacious yet comfortable feel. Windows overlook the lake with a door leading out to the deck from the living room. This is where you will want to sit and sip your coffee and enjoy the serenity of nature. The lake is a mere 30 feet from the deck. The lake is teaming with life. Watch the ducks, turtles and fish as they do what they do (swim, sun and eat!). The 2 bedrooms are comfortable and have plenty of room for your items with drawers and closets for storage. Enjoy a fire by the lake, fish from your private dock, or take the aluminum fishing boat and kayak out on the lake. While you do have a few neighbors, this property feels very private. The lake only has about ten cabins and this cabin has a large yard (2 lots of its own). We also own the 2 wooded lots next door, for added privacy and wood foraging opportunities. Guest access You have your own private dock on the lake in front of the property and private use of an aluminum fishing boat and kayak. This lake does not allow gas powered motors but you can bring your own trolling motor and battery if you like, for use with the boat. Other things to note A little history: Kiwanie Lake was named for and is located at the old Kamp Kiwani (no "e" in the original spelling) in Hardy, AR. Kamp Kiwani (The Girl Scout Council of the Mid-South) began in 1920 when 80 acres in the foothills of the Ozarks near Hardy, Arkansas became the first Kamp Kiwani and served until it was sold in 1960. It was one of the first Girl Scout camps built, about the same time YWCA Camp Miramichee and Boy Scouts Camp Kia Kima began in Hardy on the Southfork of the Spring River. Kamp Kiwani moved to Hardeman County near Middleton, Tennessee but the spirit of camping, canoeing and the love of nature remains. The neighborhood now consists of the private lake, cabins and homes conveniently located between Hardy and Cherokee Village (2 miles to each). This cabin (affectionately named Brownie) is part of our Camp Miramichee Falls short term rentals. We have 8 rentals ranging in size from 1-room cabins to the 3,000 square foot home next door to this cabin. There are three of our rentals in a row on Kiwanie Lake and 5 cabins on the Southfork River across the road, two blocks away.
