Camus Gorm is a special place on the Ramsgate coast. Built in the fifties it oozes retro charm and boasts a vast view of the Indian Ocean. Both the beautiful Blue Bay and the 'Blue Flag' Ramsgate main beach are within easy walking distance. From surf swims to rock pool fishing & sand castles. Or you can just sit on the lawn with your book and contemplate the endless horizon. Frequent visitors include Whales, dolphins and the annual Sardine migration. Equipped for Water & Power outages. The space You will have access to the main home and extensive garden. The interior has been put together with families in mind. You enter into a large open plan area with a Lounge; TV area; Reading corner; Puzzle or Game space (all provided) & Dining room. This moves into the main kitchen area with a gas hob & electric stove and just about every kitchen necessity and appliance. There is also an eating place in the kitchen, ideal for kids or quick breakfasts. Behind the kitchen is a pantry & scullery area with dishwasher; washing machine & tumble dryer in the garage. Overlooking the vast view is a built in braai/BBQ along with a Kettle Braai. The entire home has ceiling fans to help cool things down in the tropical summers. There is WI-FI in the home with a smart TV to watch Netflix, Shomax or any other platform you are signed into. Although the Ramsgate area can have utility supply issues we are well equipped with back-up solutions to provide water for all uses automatically and alternative power supply for key uses i.e. cooking, lighting and hot water for bathing. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with the main bedroom en-suite. All have showers and one has a bath. All bedrooms have sea views. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the other 2 rooms can be either 2 singles or 1 king bed. There are extra bed facilities for babies (camp cot) & small children (Camp Mattresses) and there is a single sleeper bed in the TV area of the lounge. Our extensive garden is fully grassed with lovely climbing tree’s for kids and Flora & Fauna that attract a wide variety of indigenous birdlife. Although there is not a formal outdoor dining area there is a wide grassed strip next to the outdoor braai/BBQ that accommodates outdoor dining furniture (provided). There is also a portable kettle braai/BBQ that can be used in other areas of the garden as the wind & weather allows. A secure garage is available for parking & more cars can be accommodated in the driveway—all within a fully fenced garden. In the garage are washing lines and an extra chest freezer. An outside tap & shower provides a rinse off place after the beach. Our home is fully fenced & alarmed (connected to armed response) - but we are very proud of our area's 'Community Policing Forum' which has seen a drastic reduction in all forms of crime on the Hibiscus Coast for a number of years. It is proud to be the safest place in Kwa-Zulu Natal - South Africa. Guest access The whole wonderful space is yours to enjoy.
