This cozy cottage is on a quiet hillside, 2 miles N. of downtown. Enjoy the privacy of your own space: bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, entrance, deck & parking. Walk to hiking trails, downtown, gardens, UNCA, bars, restaurants & a breathtaking sunset/mountain views. Our whole house water filter system provides glorious chlorine free water for drinking & showering. It's quiet here. A great place to relax. Enjoy a private deck for dining, star gazing or just enjoying the stellar view. The space Best of both worlds...Nestled on a private dead end mountain road, yet only 2 miles from downtown... Experience Asheville's natural beauty by day and it's hopping nightlife easily from our beautiful home retreat. The cottage is attached to our larger home, but has its own private entrance, balcony, bedroom, bathroom, full kitchen and living room, as well as private off road parking for multiple vehicles. There is a comfy queen size bed in the bedroom and two fold-out futons in the living room. The futons are best for singles or kids, so the cottage can house 3 or 4 comfortably. Kids and infants are welcome. This location is perfect for nature lovers, as we are nestled in a large tree canopy. Bears, turkeys and a plethora of birds are often spotted on the property. There are hiking and biking trails with city views within walking distance as well as easy access to the greenway, the botanical gardens, the farmers market, and UNCA. Both Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods are just a mile away. You are most welcome to use the treehouse in the backyard and the fire pit. Just be aware that these are shared areas and there are rules around using the fire pit. Please ask before using it. Well behaved dogs are welcome for an additional $20 per stay. We do have a second air BnB below the cottage, so we can not accept dogs that bark often. This is a legally permitted 'Homestay' by the city of Asheville. Our permit # can be found in the pictures. Guest access You will have access to your own space, including a kitchen with a full size fridge/freezer, oven, stove, dishwasher, etc. There is a tv/dvd (with Amazon Firestick Apps incl. Netflix), free and fast wireless internet access as well as access to a private deck overlooking a meditation garden. Other things to note The cottage was recently updated with two brand new Mini-Split Heating/Cooling units, so you can control your climate exactly as you like.
