Clarice, the first floor apartment. Comprised of a spacious bedroom with a large matrimonial bed, two bathrooms, living room with convertible sofa, kitchen and balcony. Ideal for a couple but also for a family. Clarice was wife of Lorenzo de’ Medici and mother of Pope Leone X. She was a very religious women and not very keen on the open humanistic mentality that flourished at the time. For this, Lorenzo always preferred his lover Lucrezia Donati. The space Dame di Toscana, a residence of five elegant apartments, is situated right next to the old gates of the medieval town of Lastra a Signa, in the province of Florence. The residence is new, renovated, modern. Each apartment, despite having in common the sophisticated interior design, has its own style that is inspired by the five women of the famous and historical Medici family and for this wants to remember them. In each dedicated and respective space there is a painting of them. The used materials are all ecological: oak, ash and marble. Thus in the intent to create a simple and welcoming space, but also an elegant one. The residence has different communal areas such as: a living space at the ground floor, the aromatic garden and the pensile terrace at the top floor, with a jacuzzi and folding chairs. For the latter its highly recommended a request at the time of the booking, because it also requires an additional charge. The view from the terrace and from all the apartment windows is just breathtaking. Even though the location is extremely comfortable, because just located outside the town and at only 10 km from Florence, it’s still immersed in the typical Tuscan countryside, that is in the midst of hills, olive groves and cypresses. The apartments are equipped with all comforts: air conditioning, safe, satellite TV, private parking lot, WiFi, kitchen and living room. It’s also available a private laundry room with washing machine, drying machine, iron and iron board. The station of Lastra a Signa is only a 5 minute walk and offers daily connections to Siena, Pisa, Viareggio. Florence is reachable by car in only 20 minutes. Other things to note Please note that the municipality of Lastra a Signa has introduced a tourist tax which is not included in the cost of the reservation.
