"Nana and Papa's Place" Country Duplex

Centrally located between the Twin Cities and Duluth. Relax, explore, play and make memories at "Nana and Papa's Place". Country charm, 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. 3 acres in Rural Finlayson conveniently just 3 miles north of town. Numerous recreational lakes with public access. Groomed snowmobile trail out the front door with a short ride to the Munger trail (snowmobile, biking, walking). 7 miles from Banning State Pk. and Kettle River. The space Host's Joe & Mel a.k.a. "Nana and Papa" live in the separate upstairs unit (each home has private entrance). This beautiful 1,200 sq. ft. home is cozy with modern conveniences. Eat in kitchen stocked with coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and condiments. Small appliance: Drip Coffee pot, toaster, microwave, crock pot, instant pot, waffle iron, hand mixer mini food processor and coffee bean grinder. Full size refrigerator, gas stove / oven (sorry no dishwasher). Master Suite has a king size bed, flat screen TV and full bathroom with tub/shower combo. Baby pack-n-play available upon request. The second bedroom has bunk bed (sleeping for 2) and stocked with toy's and book's for the young children. The third bedroom has a full size bed and single bed. The main bathroom also has a tub/shower combo (basic toiletries are provided). The large living room has flat screen, Smart TV with Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+, round dining / game table (puzzle's and board games included). The large L shaped couch could sleep one or two. There is a top-of-the-line tread mill (bring gym shoes) located at the far end of this great family room. Washer and dryer upon request (the laundry room is locked and used for owner storage). Guest access The entire lower duplex. Use of yard, and grill. A swing set and fire pit when they aren't buried in snow! There is parking for at least 3 vehicles right outside the front of the unit. No stairs, bedroom doors are 36" and bathroom doors are 30". The wireless internet service can be sketchy in the area sometimes. Other things to note This is a year-round getaway. Bring your boat, within a 10 mile radius there are 5 fishing and recreational lakes with public access. Fish Lake, Big Pine Lake, Upper Pine Lake, Grindstone and Lake Eleven. Banning State Park is only 7 miles away and there are five more Minnesota State Parks within 50 miles including Jay Cooke, St. Croix and Mille Lacs Kathio. The closest casinos are Black Bear Casino (40 mi.) and Hinckley Grand Casino (20 mi.). White water raft or kayak your way through the rapids of the Kettle River. Hard Water Sports in Sandstone offer guided rafting adventures, kayak and paddle board rental. At Robinson Park in Sandstone they also conduct Ice Climbing and Rock Climbing classes, providing all the needed equipment. Duluth is 60 miles away. Take the scenic Hwy. 23 to drink in the vivid fall colors. Take a day trip up the Shore of Lake Superior. Ski at Spirit Mountain. Out the front door jump on your sled onto groomed snowmobile trail that connects with the Willard Munger Trail (snowmobile, biking and walking trail) continue north and hop onto the Soo Line Trail in Moose Lake. If you enjoy ice fishing, bring your gear, punch some hole's, good luck and enjoy your surroundings.
