Welcome to Clarens Grand Villa – a peaceful haven nestled in nature, surrounded by breathtaking 360-degree mountain views. From sunrise to sunset, the scenery is spectacular, with golden-hour skies lighting up the valley. Perched between dramatic mountains and overlooking the charming, arty village of Clarens, the Villa offers a front-row seat to one of the most picturesque settings in the country. Clarens has a way of stealing your heart leaving you with unforgettable memories. The space General Information The Villa sleeps 8 adults comfortably. Our base rate includes 8 guests, and any additional guests (children aged 14 and under) are charged R360 per child, per day. Children 15 and older are considered adults. Infants are welcome at no additional cost—please enquire directly. Any additional charges are settled directly with the host. Please note: No pets are allowed on the property. A refundable security deposit of R2,500 is payable to the host one week prior to your stay. EFT details will be provided after booking confirmation. The deposit will be refunded within 3–5 days after check-out. Property Overview The Villa is surrounded by a beautifully manicured garden. Access is via a long, slanted driveway, and one automated garage is available to guests. Stairs lead up to the main entrance. Once inside, the Villa is on one level and opens up to an enclosed and secure garden area at the back—ideal for families. Bedrooms The Villa features four spacious, individually designed ensuite bedrooms. Each room includes: • A queen-size bed • A double sleeper couch (available on request—ideal for children or singles sharing) • Underfloor heating and air conditioning • Electric blankets, fine linen, and plenty of extra blankets for winter • Ample cupboard space, a dressing table, and a hairdryer • A small personal safe • Twin showers and twin basins • Spa Baths are currently out of service until further notice due to water shortages in Clarens. The wood fired hot tub, showers and swimming pool is still in use. Two of the bedrooms open onto secured balconies, each with outdoor seating including deck chairs and a hanging chair. The other two open directly to the enclosed garden area. Power Backup An inverter is installed to keep the lights and TV running during load shedding. Kitchen & Dining The open-plan kitchen is designed for entertaining and fully equipped with: • A gas oven/stove and electric Miele combo oven/microwave • Miele luxury coffee machine (we supply the beans) and a Nespresso machine (bring your own pods) • Air fryer, electric pressure cooker, mixer, potjie pot, and more • Ample cutlery, crockery, spices, condiments, and detergents • Double-door fridge with filtered water and ice • Additional bar fridges in the bar area Dining options include: • A main indoor dining room table • Kitchen breakfast counter • Cosy indoor dining nook • An indoor fireplace with wood provided and ready for use Living Areas • A comfortable lounge with large, plush couches • Full DSTV on a flatscreen smart TV • Log in with your own Netflix, Showmax, and Disney+ accounts • DSTV Extra View also available in the outdoor patio • A variety of board games available • Bar area with additional refrigeration for your drinks Laundry & Utilities • Scullery with dishwasher • Washing machine and tumble dryer • Guest bathroom Outdoor Entertainment • Swimming pool on the deck • Two hanging chairs on the main pool deck—ideal for soaking in the view • Enclosed patio that can open fully in warm weather or close up in cooler months • Covered braai/barbecue area with dining table, bar stools, and casual seating Unique Features • A wood-fired Kol Kol hot tub—perfect for relaxing evenings • A wood-fired Kol Kol oven built into the swimming pool—a rare and fun addition Guest access Guests have full access to the entire house and all amenities, though only one side of the garage is available for use. The swimming pool is for your enjoyment, but please note it is used entirely at your own risk. Coffee, tea, and sugar are provided; however, guests are asked to bring fresh milk. Charcoal and firelighters for the outdoor patio braai are also not supplied. Spices and a variety of sauces are available, and wood for the indoor fireplace is provided. For entertainment, there is full DSTV with Extra View available in the covered braai area. Wifi is available in the central area (6Mbps line), though please note it is not fibre. Bathroom soaps and towels for both swimming and bathing are provided. Guests are welcome to explore the hiking routes and common areas within the Estate. Other things to note Important Information: • Villa Service: The Villa is fully serviced throughout your stay. Thandi or Anna will prepare the Villa before your arrival. They may finish early on your arrival day and will return the following morning between 8 and 9 AM. We can arrange their schedule in advance according to your preference. • Minimum Stay: A minimum of 2 nights is required for weekend bookings. For public holidays, the minimum stay is 3 to 5 days. • Pet Policy: Strictly no pets are allowed, as per the estate rules. • Special Requests: Please feel free to reach out if you have any special requests during your stay. • Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house. An outdoor area is available for smoking. • Garage Access: Guests have access to one side of the automated garage, specifically the left side when facing the Villa. • Swimming Pool: The pool is chlorinated and has a kol kol oven to heat the water. • Towels: Towels are provided for both bathrooms and the swimming pool area. Estate Rules: • Parking: No parking is allowed on the road or the verges of the estate. • Speed Limit: The speed limit on the estate is 30 km per hour. No speeding will be tolerated. • Parties and Music: No parties or loud music. • Quiet Hours: Quiet time is observed after 9 PM. • Motorbikes: No motorbikes allowed. • Drones: No drones permitted on the estate. • Compliance: Estate rules must be followed. Rules will be sent and must be signed prior to entry.
