Pretty Penny hits you like a can can dancer. She is bold and brassy with a build meant for your pleasure. Penny is a ground floor apartment. Steps shouldn't be an issue. It has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed it's own TV with cable. The open kitchen/living area also has a large TV. The space Pretty Penny is so named for the radiant copper that appears throughout. Past the golden anchor and through the rose arbour you will come upon the copper marquee ushering your entrance to Pretty Penny. Tibeten prayer fences welcome you as you pass over the threshold. You will become suddenly entranced. Take it all in. The kitchen lies before you. And ...OMG... This is the Mother of Pearl Kitchens!!! . The crystal table mirrors the mother of pearl backsplash ... Switch on a light... Be Dazzled. Notice the beautifully turned Victorian piano table legs. The designer appliances makes you feel like you are playing a part in that high brow cooking show you sometimes fall asleep to. But it is real. Our tapwater is considered very safe. Still, Pretty Penny is served with a Hahn whole house water filter that removes chemicals such as clorine and calcium. It makes our water taste delicious. The front bedroom is highlighted by the mounted Tibetian prayer fence headboard. The travertine foundation accents the prayer fences. The crystal topped dresser simply glows beneath the wall mounted TV. The back bedroom has a built in desk with a TV nestled above in a copper niche. This desk was once a piano. The vibrant Japanese kimono hung upon a copper torri shines in the sun. Step outside the french door. Here is your personal oasis. A lovely place to listen to the sounds of morning, read a book and sip a cup of coffee. Meanwhile, back inside , your partner can draw the heavily embroided drapes and sleep in, blocking out the busyness of the day. Resting in the living room, are sets of armchairs. They are charmed. Luxurious Parisan curtains frame the small flower garden outside your windows. Your entrance door has an enchanted swinging curtain that offers both privacy and ambiance. When you exit the shimmering curtain will flow behind you if you grasp the door handle properly and will the curtain to close after you. If you are chilly, there is the fireplace. You can adjust the flames with the remote. Pretty Penny will embrace you with her warmth and serenity. The bathroom... this may be the most memorable feature of Pretty Penny.... It's weird how that is. The bath has various tile aspects. Behind the mirror you'll find the same mother of pearl tiles that shine in the kitchen. White Morrocan tile define the walk-in shower that features a marble corner seat. The copper shower heads spray here, there and everywhere. So, be mindful the shower door is firmly closed. Relax and simply wash your cares away. The magic wand comes in handy. The Italian travertine floor is highlighted by an inset quilt tile. Get acquainted with our bidet/toilet. It is there to serve you... all at your fingertips...a toilet, a bidet, a hot air dryer... Oh My!!! As you enter or leave on the entrance walkway, take notice of the Hume's Place bench that sits in its own alcove. You can not smoke in Pretty Penny . If you must, Hume's Bench is a proper place for a quiet smoke. Also indulge your senses. There is a leafy bush with delicate yellow flowers next to the corral. I believe it is called a euryops daisy bush or is of its genus. Close your eyes and stick your head into this bush. Breathe in through your nose. It's sure is good to be alive. Guest access The backyard area is private. There is no smoking of any kind within Pretty Penny Other things to note AT&T cell phone service is generally poor in Alameda. Inside the apartment there may be little or no service. Hot water is supplied by an 'on demand' heater located in the laundry room. It may take some time to get hot water. You can actually hear the heater come on. There is an vent hood above the kitchen range. Buttons will cycle the fan and turn on the hood lights. Use it when you are cooking. If the hood lights and fan don't work, check the GFI receptacle on the backsplash, it may have tripped. The sink has a garbage disposal There is a push On/Off button mounted to the right of the faucet on the counter. There are paper towels located in the access below the kitchen sink. Use paper towels or plastic wrap to cover foods when using the microwave. We would like for you to gather up your dirty dishes and load the dish washer. The utensil dray is the dishwasher's top dray. The utensils each have there own slot. Add the Cascade and start it before you leave. To start the dishwasher Press the 'On' button. Then pick the cycle. 'Normal' normally works. Than press 'Start'. Close the door, and it should start up. Each TV has it's own dedicated remote. Do not interchange them as it will cause problems. Avoid putting anything atop or near the fireplace, for safey.
