Our smoke free, lovely clean, cottage is on a quiet lake with few speed boats. Little Island Lake is a perfect lake for a family vacation. It is an all sports lake with swimming, fishing, canoeing, great sandy beach, and beautiful sunsets. Lake Cottage is a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath completely furnished, knotty pine, lakefront retreat. It is an all sports lake with swimming, fishing, canoeing, great sandy beach, and beautiful sunsets. The kitchen has a separate dining room which overlooks the lake and opens to the great room. Fire pit and picnic table on site. It is located around 15 minutes from East Tawas and just 15 minutes from Hale. We are 30 minutes away from Oscoda where there are canoe rentals. State land with a camp ground is within walking distance. You can bike or walk around the road connecting all seven lakes in the Sand Lake area. There are restaurants, gas station, ice cream stand and miles of sandy beaches. We are an eco cottage. We use natural cleaning supplies, natural bedding, recycle and compost and ask guests to conserve water and energy. Cottage sleeps 8 comfortably: - bedroom with queen - large bedroom with queen and double bed - bunk room with three twins - sun room with twin Week rental starts Saturday after 4 until following Saturday at 11am. Two night minimum rental. All towels and linens provided, but bring your own beach towels. You are expected to clean and leave cottage in same condition that you found it. Cleaning supplies are provided. Children welcomed. Reservations/security deposit: We will hold your reservation with a $200 security deposit which will be refunded within 5 days from your departure minus $60 cleaning fee (a fee for reasonable cleaning, if more extensive needed, costs will reflect). Entire house is available as well 80 feet of lake frontage. Guests will have direct access to lake, as well as many local recreation and dining options. Owner or caretaker may be on property from time to time. This is a quiet lake and neighborhood. Permanent neighbors on both sides of property. They are respectful and friendly towards renters and renters are expected to be the same. No publice transit but many ammenities are within a short drive or bike ride.
