Escape to the Woods! Like staying in a National Park, it's beautiful all year! Great front porch amid wild forest and rolling hills. A bird & wildlife haven on 23 forested acres borders the Daniel Boone National Forest & shared with the Forest Cabin at Sinking Creek, a rental home for 2. King & queen bed, modern kitchen, just bring food & clothes! Streaming TV, DVD, Bluetooth soundbar, Gig wifi, books, games, gas grill, hammock, & firepit. Amazing dark night sky. 4 ppl. max. No kids or pets. The space Escape to the woods! It's very scenic, rural, and private. A great place to get away from it all and get close to nature. You will have the entire first floor of the home including the front porch and side deck, living room, kitchen, bathroom with tub and shower, the master bedroom with king bed, a library/study/office or second bedroom with queen futon, ask to have the futon made into a bed, if needed. The unoccupied basement and attic are closed to guests. You will have the whole home to yourself on our shared 23 acres. Close to Cumberland Falls, Laurel Lake & Woods Creek Lake, Cane Creek Wildlife Management area & the Trout Stream. Our yard is a Certified Wildlife Management Area and borders the Daniel Boone National Forest. It's located up the hill from Sinking Creek and our property has seasonal sinking creeks that feed it. Our Bird House at Sinking Creek shares the property with our cozy studio cabin, the Forest Cabin at Sinking Creek. Larger groups (6 adults) may want to rent both properties! Guest access You have the entire first floor of the home with a master bedroom with king memory foam bed, a den/library/office or 2nd bedroom with a queen futon (please let us know if you need the futon made up into a bed), living room with streaming TV & Bluetooth sound bar, fully equipped modern kitchen with beautiful granite countertops, giant fridge w/ice maker & filtered water, dishwasher, cooktop stove, microwave, coffeepot, blender, dishes, cookware, utensils, coffee, some condiments, oil & spices provided. Bring your own food. Nice front porch, side deck & large yard mostly forested. You are welcome to explore our shared 23 acres which adjoins the Daniel Boone National Forest. Other things to note This is the wild and scenic National Forest with rugged forested terrain. The house sits atop a sunny ridge. On weekends there may be noise from the nearby London dragstrip. Also, we share this beautiful place with other neighbors in the area who may be out in their yards mowing or doing other property work, or ORV riding. You may hear some noise off in the distance during your stay, but in a 24-hour day, this secluded home is peaceful and quiet for the most part and a great place to escape, relax and unwind.
