Your recently renovated 2nd floor apartment includes a fully stocked kitchen (stovetop/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, cookware, glasses, plates, bowls, flatware, slow cooker/crockpot, blender, toaster, mixer, coffee maker, complimentary coffee, creamer and tea, hot chocolate, cooking oil, salt/pepper, cooking utensils, sugar), as well as spacious living room and dining areas. The living room includes a queen sofa bed. Accommodations include an over-sized master bedroom with 2 queen beds/linens, slate inlay sofa table, and upholstered chair; a large 2nd bedroom with full size bed/linens, and two twin beds/linens and a desk and chair for workspace. We provide a complete towel set (bath towel & wash cloth) for everyone. All rooms also have darkening blinds for sleeping and complete privacy. Our Lancaster County farm neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, and the brick farm house with the apartment, sits back off the road, along our farm lane across from the rolling Chiques Creek. Guests can explore the historic 19 acre farm (the barn built in 1809 and the brick house built in 1814), enjoy a hike through the wooded trails, a short stroll past the historic mill in front of the house, along the Chiques creek, or just enjoy the tranquility of the babbling stream when sitting in the private front yard. Many guests have said this feels like a retreat for them, with all the amenities of home. While in a peaceful rural setting, Pleasant Pines Stables is located about 5 miles from major highways, Route 30, Route 283, and Route 23. Two major foodmarkets (Giant, Weis) are all within a 4-5 miles access, and Lancaster's oldest Central Market is less than 12 miles from the farm. Located just 4 miles from the Mount Joy Amtrak train station, our apartment is centrally located with access to Harrisburg, York, Hershey, Lancaster, Baltimore, Washington DC, Philadelphia and NYC.
