Southern Charm, Large Pool

Very private 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath southern cottage style home with large private pool in a large fenced in backyard. Our cozy home is located off of Middle Sound Loop short walking distance to Page's Creek Nature Reserve for walks and kayaking. 5 minutes drive to Mayfair Shopping, restaurants and Movie Theatre, 15 minutes drive to Wrightsville Beach. **Note: if you are booking outside of May to October please double check that the pool is open for your stay if you want to use it. The space Our property is on a quiet dead end street full of families. The house has no neighbors to the rear of the property so you can enjoy the pool and backyard oasis just hearing the sound of nature. We are 5 minutes from a brand new Publix grocery store, 10 minutes from Mayfair with great shops/restaurants/movie theater and 15 minutes from Wrightsville Beach. There is a nature reserve with Kayak launch onto Pages Creek within walking distance from the house. The home has everything needed for an adult trip or a family vacation. Brand new appliances; fridge/dishwasher, washer and dryer. Master and Master Bath, and 2 additional bedrooms: Queen with extra twin in window nook and Two Twins with an extra twin in window nook. 2.5 baths., Dining Room (seats 7 people plus 3 at the kitchen island across. Living room with TV/Cable, Large den/sun room with TV/Cable, large out door pool, out door seating area. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property including the pool and play set. Other things to note We try to keep the pool open year round however nature can impact this from time to time. Specifically after hurricanes, large pollen blooms in early spring and cold fronts during the winter.if you want to use the pool during/after one of these situations I would just double check that it is available for use. We do our best to open it back up quickly if something happens but we are subject to the pool vendor’s availability. BUGS Our house is on the coast in beautiful Southeastern North Carolina surrounded by woods keeping the house very private and we are next to a creek. We also have the added amenity of a pool. With all the natural beauty around us and a pool, we get the unfortunate side effect of bugs. Most notably, we get water bugs that are in the cockroach family. Unlike normal cockroaches, water bugs are not a sign of an infestation and as such not as easy to treat. The primary defense for them is to spray a barrier around the outside of the house. We have pest control services do this monthly (more frequently then standard service) but this will not stop them 100% as rain and humidity will make that barrier decrease. We treat the inside of the house as well so that when a bug comes in, it will die. To help limit bugs, please don’t leave old food or dishes out, close doors/windows behind you and take the trash out making sure it goes in the bins outside. I know bugs are creepy and we treat them aggressively but they are a reality that can’t be completely avoided.
