A relaxing and stylish poolside Casita on the most coveted street in Altadena with close access to all Los Angeles has to offer. With room for up to 4, this is a modern, airy, yet cozy home to work or play in Southern California. Set in stunning grounds and with a private sun deck, bistro table and chairs overlooking a beautiful pool. Well behaved four legged friends also welcome! Why stay in a hotel when you can live like a local? This is California living at its finest! A modern yet charming and spacious studio with deluxe queen bed and a pullout futon sofa bed. The Casita has an eye catching beamed and vaulted ceiling, outdoor shower, a fireplace center piece, grey flagstone tiles and a charming and airy farmhouse door that opens on to the gleaming pool right outside. There is an outdoor table on the terrace plus new sun deck with both swinging and Adirondack chairs you can enjoy a sunset glass of wine or relax by the pool. The Inside dining table has room for four and a kitchenette for preparing meals, full size fridge/freezer, hotplates, microwave and toaster oven, coffee machine and kettle. In the morning start the day with an outdoor shower (both hot and cold water) in the entirely secluded garden followed by a cup of provided coffee or tea. Indoors there's a full bathroom with shower and full size tub and save on packing space with the provided shampoo and shower gels. We also provide both bath and pool towels for each guest. L.A. Casita has a private entrance through a charming tree and fern lined walkway to the backyard for guests to use and unrestricted street parking on the prettiest street in Altadena. Nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains, the Casita is walking distance to mountain hikes and even a waterfall, yet it is also only a short drive from great shopping, world class museums and gardens, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and easily accessible to all that Los Angeles and surrounds has to offer including Disneyland, the beaches, Hollywood and downtown LA. Our family lives in the main house so we are close by to answer any questions or keep out of your way - whichever you prefer! L.A Casita is comfortable and cozy in the winter with central heating and cool and airy the rest of the year with A/C and ceiling fan if required. Guests compliment how they've never slept so well in the comfortable bed and amidst the quiet serenity of the gardens. L.A. Casita offers the peace of the California mountains and beautiful Pasadena but with all the features of one of the world's most vibrant cities on the doorstep. Guests have their own entrance from the street to the left of the main house but you can use the driveway to unload bags. Guests can use the solar heated pool (it's not heated in the winter months so chilly October - early May) but note the chairs in the pool on the Baja Edge are for use by the main house. Guests may also use the hot tub at an extra charge of $50 PER HEATING, note we need to be here to heat it for you (which takes 2-4 hours depending on season). Unfortunately, due to some abuse we need to put a 2-hour limit on the hot tub. No dogs in the pool please. We're never far away for any questions or requests - but also know some of you want to enjoy your peace so we won't be in your face unless you need us! Altadena is a quiet mountain community with a few nearby shops, restaurants and bars and excellent hiking/biking in the San Gabriel mountains. We're also a short drive down the hill to Pasadena with many more dining and entertainment options and only 13 miles to Downtown Los Angeles You can walk to the small center of Altadena with buses to Pasadena, LA Metro Stations or Bike Hire. A car is recommended for exploring all of Los Angeles though! The Pool House sleeps up to 4 - Two in a queen bed and two children or one adult on a full futon.
