Bellows Falls (pop 3600), walkable community with Amtrak/bus service and nice rural downtown with amenities, Farmers market, movie theater, post office, library etc. There are three bedrooms for rent in this private home, all with full size beds. One can rent one, two or all 3 rooms. Rooms are $45 each/night for one person ($10 for additional person in same room). The rooms are available May though December. Check in and out are generally flexible. Accommodations can be made if needed. No smoking is allowed in the house and pets are considered on a case-by-case basis with a deposit. The house has one bathroom that is located on the 1st floor off the kitchen. Bellows Falls located in SE VT along the CT River is part of the industrial history that stretched up and down the CT River. It was particularly known for its paper making. The owner encourages cooking and is willing to initiate. Coffee, tea is available, use of the kitchen and meals can be prepared for you if you like. The wonderful thing about Bellows Falls is that you can arrive by train, the Vermonter (Washington DC to St Albans VT) or by bus from NYC or Boston and enjoy the community w/o a car for several days.
