One of a kind 3 Bedroom, 2.5 Bath, modern home in the beautiful hills of Lincoln, VT. Quiet, private and relaxing environment on 13 acres with mountain views. Private sauna and pond. The house is very modern and minimalistic yet not lacking any comfort. All interior is custom made. 3 Bedrooms and 2.5 baths. We have a New cedar sauna that is available for use by guests. This house is new, with that comes just a few restrictions. The roof is completely off limits because there are no railings or decking! The basement is also off limits. Other than that, the house and property is yours to enjoy. Self check in. Dont hesitate to contact Bjorn at anytime. Use the house phone if necessary. Bristol is the closest downtown (10 min drive). It is small, beautiful and has everything you need. There is a great brew pup called The Bobcat, a laid back bar called Hatch 31, The Bristol Bakery and Almost Home Cafe. Bristol also has a Shaws Supermarket, Rite Aid Pharmacy, Bristol Beverage and Champlain Farms Liquor Store. There are hiking trails and swimming holes all over the region, some within walking distance of the house, others are best reached by car. Mad River Glen, Sugarbush and The SnowBowl ski resorts are all about a 30 min drive away. There are several ways to get to the house. The easiest way is to drive (3.5 hours from Boston, 5 hours from NYC). You can also fly into Burlington or Rutland Airports and rent a car (40 Min drive). One can also take a train to Rutland, VT or Essex, VT and rent a car. It is essential to have a car in order to get around. In the winter months it is advisable to have snow tires or 4 wheel drive. The house was designed with a goal of net zero energy consumption. Solar provides most of the power required to run the house in summer. While geothermal provides the energy to heat the house. With that in mind, please do your best to shut off lights and other appliances when not nin use. This house is about 10 mins by car from the closest restaurant, grocery store and gas station. The general store in the center of Lincoln has basic provisions, but closes at 6pm, so plan accordingly. Cell service in Vermont can be challenging at times. There is no exception to this at the house. Lincoln has one at&t tower that gives the house about 1 or 2 bars. Bristol has one Verizon tower that seems to give full service when in town. For coffee lovers, we have a Breville espresso machine with a built in grinder. We also have a French press, stove top espresso machine and separate burr grinder.
