Pond View Paradise - Safe & relaxed in the hills!

Welcome to beautiful WV! Our cottage is secluded, easy to get to, overlooks fields and a lovely pond. There are trails and fishing on the property, and views in all directions. The cottage is fully air conditioned, clean, has WiFi and is located 8 min. from I-64 and 10 min. from both White Sulphur Springs (the Greenbrier) and Lewisburg, WV (“Coolest Small Town” winner). We love hosting guests on our farm, in our cozy cottage with beauty, peace and quiet, trails, fishing, and mountain air. The space Our air conditioned cottage, built in the 1950's, is authentic, cozy and cute with a comfortable living room and separate bedroom with a queen bed. It warms and cools quickly. Windows open easily if fresh air is wanted. A large living room couch can be used as a bed for a third person. There is a kitchen with a stove & oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. The bathroom has a shower with a light . The cabin is well away from any traffic and the setting is quiet and peaceful. The porch overlooks the beautiful pond and property. There is a "smart" TV that works through the cabin's WiFi. Guest access It is self check-in and will be unlocked on your arrival. You will have complete access to the cottage ground floor which is yours alone. You will be the only guests in the cottage. Please park on the driveway pavement outside of the cabin or on the gravel in front of the adjacent barn. Please do not park on the lawn. While you are here, you are welcome to explore and enjoy our varied and beautiful 80 acres. There are easy and marked trails through our fields and woods. There are benches along the trails and by our two scenic ponds. Be sure to ask us if you need guidance to the trails, and there is a trail map in the cabin. We encourage fishing in both ponds. They are stocked with large mouth bass and there are bluegill as well, who’ll give you a fight. Catch and release please. PS: The large carp are pets. While fishing is allowed in the ponds, no boating or swimming is allowable. Other things to note The cabin is Self-Check-in. The cabin is left unlocked and should be ready for occupancy on guest arrival. Please park on the driveway or in front of the barn, not on the grass. If you plan to have visitors during the day please let us know in advance. The cottage is a smoke-free space. Smoking is allowed anywhere outdoors on the property. There are multiple scenic trails on the property: Mayre's Mile - the longest trail, starting to the left outside the cabin door. This takes you down to the beautiful and natural lower pond. There are comfortable benches overlooking the pond. Fishing is encouraged (catch and release), with both Bluegill and Large Mouth bass in large numbers. Mayre's Mile then traverses the back field to the right and enters the woods. Following the yellow markers and signs it will take you around through the woods, across a stream, and eventually bring you back into the open, in view of the main house. Following the trail towards the house takes you over the bridge and up the hill to the main property where you will see Pond View Paradise across the lawn. Several other marked trails take-off in the woods from Mayre's Mile, including Turkey Lurkey, Penny Lane, Lulu's Loop, Bob-O-Link, The Point (it has a special view), The Family Fire Pit, and the North Fork Overlook Trail. They are marked with color blazes on trees and signs. Of special note we have installed a 3 basket/six hole practice disc golf course in a wooded “Glade” just off Lulu’s Loop. Feel free to use it with guest provided discs. Seasonally, two bubbling streams traverse the woods and are easily accessed from multiple locations.
