The space This is a specious two story true cabin feel cottage directly on the shores of a beautiful lake and close to Algonquin. It is not a fancy hotel or a city apartment and guests should expect a stay in a fully equipped cottage that still has a rustic feel of being in the woods. If you prefer more city like dwelling this might not be your place. But if you love nature and simpler times away from busy city life you will love it here. You will hear, feel and see nature around you including wolfs from the far hills during quiet winter nights. No need to cross any streets to get to the lake, just open the door and you are there! Those who crave to be away from the city and enjoy simple well equipped true cottage experience love it here, as much as our family loves this place. We work hard to keep this place great for our guests, please respect this simple and beautiful place for its natural charm. WE JUST RENOVATED OUR WASHROOMS, we now have a rain shower and a modern soaker tub washrooms making it 2 full washrooms for more comfort of our guests. We think it is hard to find a great direct waterfront cottage with so many amenities for a better price! You will be able to use a hot tub, sauna, wood burning fireplace, many kayaks and other water crafts and a new soaker tub/rain shower washrooms, normally you would be charged 3x for those amenities! But we cater to families like ours that still deserve ALL of those amenities for affordable price! The guests are able to access the entire cottage area which includes 2 floors of living space. The guests are not able to access the garage. Fist floor includes master bedroom with walk out to the deck and large walk in closet. There is a very small bedroom with single-single bunk bed on that floor. Open living concept includes living room with walk out to the deck, dining room and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. There is also a bathroom with shower and mud room with a toilet & washing machine on that floor. Lower floor has another walk out to a second deck. There is another living room on the lower level with foldout couch and two bedrooms. 3 flat screen TVs. New available for extra rental on the property is a luxury 2 bedroom trailer with master bedroom & kids bunk room. Includes 2 flat screen TVs and indoor electric fireplace. Inquire if considering for overflow guests large family gatherings. NEW this summer Small aluminum boat with 2.3 hp Honda motor available for rent. Other things to note While in our cottage: 1. You have access to a paddle boat, canoe & 4 good quality kayaks included in your stay. There are few life jackets of various sizes at the cottage. 2. Provided are: linens, hand towels, hand soap and dishwashing detergent and toilet paper. Please bring you own bath/beach towels, shampoo and choice of body wash. 3. Our cottage has a dock for you to enjoy sitting on, fishing or tying up your boat. 4. We do not provide fire wood which can be purchased almost everywhere, but Barry’s Bay Metro is always a safe bet. There is fire wood provided for indoor fireplace. 5. You can enjoy indoor 4 person hot tub. Please contact us with any issues as it is a machine and you might not be be following proper instructions and therefore do not give us 4 starts for not following them. Ask and we will HELP YOU! 6. Pets are welcomed but you are responsible for clean up after them & any damage caused. They must be kept off the furniture/couches/beds. up to 2 pets max. $50 fee per pet. 7. Closest boat launch is Barry’s Bay less than 10min from cottage. 8. The lake front is great for small kids with shallow sandy bottom for long stretch of bay. In deeper areas there are some mussels so we recommend water shoes. 9. Being close to Algonquin you can expect to see all sorts of wild life bugs including, bring your bug spray for night fires time. 10. Please follow local fire restrictions/ rules during your stays. There could be fire ban at any time as posted by local fire officials. 11. You can rent small aluminum fishing boat from us with 2.3 hp Honda motor. 12. No smoking inside the cottage & please dispose of your cigarette buds in the ashtray outside provided. Leaving your cigarette buds on the grounds will result in extra cleaning charge. 13. The cottage is for rental for families & friends to enjoy beautiful Canada’s outdoors. It is not meant for wild drinking parties & is monitored for such. Those not respecting that rule will be asked to leave. 14. The water in the cottage is a drinking well water. 15. Please drive slowly on the access road to protect safety of others. The access road us shared by other properties. Please also stay from the green lawn areas around the access road as it belongs to another property. 16. We do have a luxury 2 bedroom bunk bed trailer on the property with electricity connected. It includes luxury master bedroom & kids bunk room. It has 2 flat screen TVs and indoor electric fireplace. It can be rented for extra fee if needed for overflow guests or larger family gathering. 17. Our guests are able to enjoy whisky barrel SAUNA newly added To the property. 18. There is no garbage disposal for the cottages in the area. It is renters responsibility to take garbage to nearby garbage disposal. If not able to do so other arrangement can be discussed. Cleaning the cottage does not mean taking guests’ garbage to the dump. $75 will charged if garbage is left behind without prior notice. 19.All water crafts and dock are seasonal and used at guest's own risk.
