Okanogan River Guest House in Tonasket

Welcome to our newly renovated and enlarged 1 bedroom, 1 bath cottage in Tonasket with a full size pullout couch bed in the living room and a queen size bed in the bedroom. It is a 5 minute walk into town and the property is surrounded by orchards and the Okanogan River, and our 1 acre includes chickens in a fenced pasture, as well as 2 small dogs and a cat. You will hear rural sounds of farmers, some highway noise, and the peace of nature on the river. No pets please. The space This is a one-bedroom cottage - bedroom, living room, kitchen and dining area, and bathroom. The living room includes a full size fold out sofa bed. The large bedroom, newly added, has a queen size bed, dresser, and closet. The bar between the kitchen and living room can also be used as a desk. The front door opens onto a deck with table and chairs where you can enjoy eating and sitting with the river noise murmuring in the background. There is also an accessible ramp up to the deck and front door. We will greet you when you arrive if you let us know when you will be here, and then stay out of your way if you desire. You will see us walking back and forth between our house and the animal pasture on the other side of the cottage, to collect eggs and take care of chores. Guest access You are welcome to access any of the area in front of and behind the guest house, with a wide lawn going down to the fence before the river, including a big swing for all ages to enjoy. Feel free to visit our chickens but keep the gate closed if you enter the pasture, and watch where you step! There is a fence dividing our property from the river and we ask that you stay inside that fence (for liability reasons). Keep the gate closed at all times to the lane where you park as we have two small dogs who are very friendly and will follow you anywhere! Other things to note The guest house has a ramp for those who cannot or prefer not to climb the 4 steps to the front door. The house will be unlocked and ready when you arrive. You will find a key on the table inside with a sheet of information and instructions. There is also a smart tv with Roku installed for your subscriptions. Besides the fully stocked kitchen, there are linens, towels, extra blankets, and empty drawers in order to unpack your belongings. Please do not take any books, soaps, shampoos or other items you find inside with you when you depart; they are for current guest use only. If you need anything at all, call us on the number supplied on the instruction sheet on the table. No pets please. Eateries: There is a Mexican restaurant across the highway from our lane entrance. The Iron Grill and Tonasket Pizza Company are good lunch and dinner spots in downtown Tonasket. Osoyoos, just across the Canadian border, is a fun tourist town and has multiple options for eating and shopping.
