The Woods Cabin at Walnut Canyon Cabins

The Woods Cabin is one of the 7 individual, secluded, fully furnished cabins that have spectacular view of up to 40 miles located on 15 acres on a canyon rim. All rates include locally sourced breakfast items for you to prepare at your leisure and enjoy in your cabin or on your deck! We are located 11 Miles off the "290 Wine Road" and 15 miles from downtown Fredericksburg. Out by the Old Tunnel State Park, also known as the "Bat Tunnel" and the Alamo Springs Cafe. The space As you enter the Woods Cabin you immediately see the large windows and are drawn to your private deck where you have stunning views of up to 40 miles to the southeast, you can feed the deer (we provide the corn), fox and turkeys while sipping your favorite beverage! After you catch your breath, and return inside, take notice of the original art from a native Texas artist! Your fully equipped kitchen including dishes, pots n pans, lets you create an easy gourmet breakfast or any other meal, for breakfast we supply locally sourced items to enjoy, locally roasted coffee, farm fresh eggs, Canadian Bacon from a local smokehouse, fresh berries and biscuit dough along with butter, honey, jam, half/half and creamer. Completing the furnishings of the heated and air-conditioned Woods cabin is an in-cabin washer/dryer, your own private bath with tiled shower combo, rustic armoire, complete with spa robes to enjoy during your stay, a queen bed, leather reclining love seat. The hi-def flat-screen TV allows you to watch local San Antonio TV stations or the DVD player allows you to relax and watch one of the many movies provided for you. An easy way to relax OFF the Grid! Other things to note There is one modem available for use in the cabins. It creates a private, secure network. It is available on a first come basis. We ask for $20.00 per stay fee. Air beds are available for extra guests.
