Prime location. Four blocks from University of Puget Sound and two blocks from 6th ave business district, this mid-century modern styled house is the perfect home base for visiting Tacoma. The Orange Door is in a quiet neighborhood and has been furnished tastefully to provide you with a relaxing stay. Melt into one of the four memory foam mattresses or grab a drink and cozy up in the large living room in front of the 55" TV. Every essential you may need is here for your stay. The space Spaces – Bedroom 1: This is the master bedroom with a king-sized memory foam bed. The pillows and comforter are all down alternative so allergies won’t be an issue. It is decorated with pictures of our favorite mountain. The room is located on the main floor and shares a bathroom and hallway with the 2nd bedroom. – Bedroom 2: This room on the first floor has a memory foam queen bed and ample storage. When you wake up early you can cozy up on the bench seat under the window and watch the neighborhood wake up. A pack and play, baby gate and high chair can all be found in the closet of this room. – Bedroom 3: This room is located on the second floor and has two twin beds with memory foam mattresses. The window looks out to the west and gets some beautiful evening light. The ceilings in the second floor are sloped, so if you are taller than 6' there will be some head tilting required. -Bathroom 1: Full bathroom on the first floor with a tub/shower combo. Stocked with the basics, it also has a hair dryer tucked into a drawer. -Bathroom 2: Located upstairs with just a sink and toilet. You won’t write home about it, but it gets the job done. -Living room: Two modern couches and a comfy chair encircle the 55” smart TV. The TV is equipped with a HD antenna so you can catch up on your local channels, or you can log into your Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix or HBO accounts through our high speed WiFi. If TV isn’t your thing, grab one of the books off the built-in shelves. Consider these shelves a little free lending library. Take a book home if you don’t finish it during your stay or feel free to leave the book you did finish. If you decide you need a break from going out to all the great restaurants nearby; the dining room table will easily fit everyone around it. The fire place provides ambiance only, please do not use it. If you get cold, turn up the smart thermostat located in the living room. -Kitchen: Most importantly, this is where you can find our coffee station with local coffee and tea options. Organic oatmeal is tucked away in one of the cupboards to help you start the day. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, cutlery, utensils, plates, bowls (children sized utensils, plates and bowls too), water, beer or wine glasses, spices, condiments, refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen also has a nook set up with a desk and surge protector just in case you have a little work to do.
