The Cabin is the first free-standing lodging space at the Mill. This very private space overlooking a beautiful meadow is secluded and cozy. The Cabin and all 6 airbnb spaces on the property have access to the Soque River and are only a 70 minute drive from Atlanta and Athens, Georgia. other airbnb spaces on this property: Airstreams Barber Shop Artist Space Post Office Shed The Cabin is a modern and minimalist space constructed of birch ply floor and walls with a full wall of sliding glass doors and a view to the meadow below. The Cabin has it's own screened porch and fire pit. During your stay you will have access to the Soque River where you will find a screened pavilion and screened lounge with prep kitchen. A Big Green Egg and gas grill are available for your use. There is a stocked fire pit at the river's edge plus others on the property for your use. Below the shoals is a small island from which you can swim or launch kayaks which are available through Melissa. Melissa lives 3 miles away and is available if you have any questions during your stay. You may explore all of the property using the map provided. Our Guide Book is available online for restaurant, shopping, sightseeing and hiking suggestions. Parking is all around the property and included. It is advisable that you have your own vehicle or a rental vehicle. (Please note that the Barber Shop is our only pet-friendly space) You can determine how much interaction you want to have with us, but someone is always available for assistance. There are good restaurants and thrift stores in downtown Clarkesville. we are also very close to Piedmont college.
