Guest access The entire home is yours! There is a beautiful walkout patio off the dining room, with access to a large fenced in back yard. You can also enter and exit the home through the garage with the garage door opener. There is a side door off the kitchen that goes directly to the garage. The basement door off the kitchen is locked and for staff access only, thanks. Do not leave valuables in your vehicle, and it is preferable to park in the garage. Please shut the garage door behind you. Always make sure all doors and windows are shut and locked when you leave the residence. Temperature controlled thermostat on property. You can set it up to a max of 70 in Winter, and down to a max of 72 in Summer. If you are there for an extended stay, and would like to request it be modified, contact me. A note about breakfast: Per MO state law, we currently cannot offer anything other than prepackaged snacks and drinks. Supplies note: Following Airbnb guidelines, we leave coffee and tea, one dish full of sugar, and one dish full of creamer, 2 rolls of paper towels, and 4 rolls of toilet paper, along with all the cleaning supplies you should need for your stay. You are responsible for replenishing those supplies if you would like more. Thank you for your understanding. We do not provide laundry supplies at this time. Towels & Bedding: We prepare the linens on the basis of your guest count. Guests receive 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel, and one wash cloth each. If you would like more, please request that upon booking. ** If your guest count is incorrect, and you need to request delivery of additional linens, towels, etc., after you have arrived, there will be a $25 charge added to the reservation. Avoid this by simply having the correct # of guests on the reservation, or requesting linens prior to the arrival date ** Many guests have inquired about our cleaning fees. Airbnb asks us to pay our cleaners a "living wage", of $25.00 per hour. We do, and it takes and average of 2-3 hours to properly clean a home. We have very high cleaning standards, and sanitize and disinfect the home as well. If you are being charged a low cleaning fee for a booking, there are three possibilities. 1) The host is cleaning it themselves. 2) It is NOT being cleaned very well, or 3) They are not paying their workers a decent wage. If it is either of the latter options, I would not want to be staying there. If you damage or remove an item from the property, you may be responsible for its replacement cost. *** The city of St. Louis is experiencing rapid redevelopment, economic growth, and what some call "gentrification". This means that if you stay in the city, you are likely to be on a street with a wide variety of properties, ranging from very good condition, to fair, to vacant. In addition, there is great racial, cultural, and economic diversity with city residents. I live nearby in the city, and love it here, but it may not be for everyone. We want all guests to consider this prior to booking, so no unfavorable reviews result.
