Description
Welcome to our rustic wooden chalet set among the hills of West Virginia. Get away from the city and be at one with nature. It's a quiet and peaceful environment that is off the grid. Over 50 acres of private forests, hills, and meadows. Chickens are kept on the property, though not nearby, and will provide fresh eggs for every stay upon request. The space Modeled after chalets you would find in the Swiss Alps, this wooden home in the woods is two stories. Upstairs, there is a living room with full couch and love seat, desk work-space, and TV. The TV does not have cable, but there is a DVD player and a large selections of DVD to choose from. There is an open staircase leading to the lower level. Off the living room is a bedroom with a full size bed and a dresser. In the basement, there is a small kitchen area with a stove, refrigerator, and sink. The lower level has a bathroom with stand up shower. Please note the bedroom and bathroom are on different levels. Guest access Guests have access to the entire chalet. Other things to note This cozy home was built in the 70's as an office for a construction company. Given that the owner was a Frenchman, he modeled it after chalets in the Swiss Alps. The old storage facility for the construction company is nearby. The chalet has a yard in front of it - additional guests are welcome to camp for an additional $10/night per tent.
