The interior of this luxury home is very cozy and inviting, resembling chalets dotted throughout the Alps. The construction quality and materials are all very high end. All floors in the living areas are made from old recycled barn wood. Ceilings, beams, and rafters are also reclaimed wood from a Naval base building built in 1908 in the Bay Area. All appliances are high end for the discerning tenant; Liebherr refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, and a Bertazzoni stove/oven in the kitchen, all Hans Grohe faucets and bath furnishings, and Sony 4K televisions in the living area and master bedroom. High end mattresses, towels and linens from Hotel Collection. Furniture is Restoration Hardware, Sundance, and various custom pieces. Heating is provided by the Vermont Castings gas fireplace and the central Minisplit system. All counter tops are granite. Parking is off the street, located off of the driveway. One car maximum is allowed. Although a three car garage is pictured below this home, no garage is available for any car. Master bedroom: Hotel Collection mattress/pillows/sheets on a Sundance bed. Down duvet. Closet and a chest of drawers for storage. Master bathroom has heated floors and walk in shower with beautiful Italian glass tiles on soft cut stone pebble floors. Second Bedroom: Has two twin beds with down duvets and an antique armoire. Living Area: 50" Sony 4K television and in wall surround speakers and sub woofer. Vermont Castings gas fireplace as another heat source. Savant app for iPad or iPhone controls tv/radio/pandora The Village at Squaw Valley is approximately one-two minutes away by car. You can walk to the Village in about 10-15 minutes. The bike path runs beside the main road in Squaw Valley, and has fantastic views of Squaw Valley Meadows and Squaw Creek. In The Village at Squaw Valley there are many shops and restaurants; wine bar, sushi bar, bistro, pizza and fine dining. You can take the Cable Car Tram up to High Camp for wonderful wild flower views, overlooking Lake Tahoe and great hiking. Access is through our garage which only we use. Please do NOT lock the garage man door as we use this door to enter/exit our garage on a daily basis. You can lock the door which enters the stairwell and the front door at the top of the stairs if you wish. This unit has space for one vehicle which is located on the driveway in front of the northern most large garage bay. Only 1 vehicle is allowed. There are no other parking spots available. We will always be available to help with any issues that arise. We have done our best to alleviate any issues but we understand that guests may have a special request. We live in the home next door, therefore we will always be there to help if necessary. We are always available in person, by phone, text or email. We normally do not disturb guests. From time to time we may see you when we are entering/exiting our garage. We will be texting/emailing/phoning guests to ensure they have checked in at the beginning of their stay, and check to be sure they do not require anything additional in order to make their stay more comfortable. The west end of Squaw Valley is the most coveted in the valley. It is where the original Squaw Valley homes were built. We are very close to the ski area, taking about a minute and a half by car. The home is west facing with great sun and ski area views. We back up to a Preserve where hiking and skiing can be enjoyed. We are only steps from Shirley Canyon and all it has to offer. Navajo Court is a steeper street that could require a 4-wheel drive/AWD vehicle during snow storms. Public transportation can be found on the main road on your way to the ski area. The TART public bus system runs on a 20 minute schedule from Squaw Valley to Tahoe City, Truckee and to the Resort at Squaw Creek. Due to the configuration of this home and our driveway, we utilize the three car garage door section of this rental home as our garage. Guests do not have use of the garage but you access the unit through our garage. There is laundry in the garage which can be used if needed. There is also another rental unit that is larger which is located below the garage and can only be accessed from the street through their private entrance. Please don't allow your kids to play in our garage or in the stairwell, noise may bother us or others. Guests from the different units will not have any interaction. Please note that discounted midweek nights are for adding onto weekends and not for the regular 2 night minimum.
